Remember at high school, when you used to use Tippex on your nails, or felt tip on your eyes?
No?
I must’ve went to a particularly degenerative high school because some of the classic things my peers did to themselves (and each other) included:
1. Using Tippex on nails (this is a classic)
2. Using Tippex as eyeliner
3. Using black permanent marker as eyeliner
4. Stapling nails
5. Giving each other love bites on the cheek (it was an all girls school too).
Did I do these things? No! I was a prim and proper geek!
Anyway, when I saw this NYX Super Fat Eye Marker Eyeliner I had to buy it!
It does literally look JUST like a thick black marker too! Amazing!
It reminds me of my SANA Extra Thick Eyeliner…but does that one double up as a pen? No!
I love a thick pen, so this is just right up my alley, plus it reminds me of being in high school!
The nib of this eyeliner (which is of course a liquid eyeliner) is built like a chunky felt tip, so it therefore gives a reasonable thick line….
I have ALWAYS loved pen type liquid liners over the traditional wands – I just find them easier to work with because it’s just like drawing!
The downside to the nib on the Super Fat Marker is that it is pretty chunky and that it’s quite sold (like a real marker!). A bit of flexibility tends to make liquid liner easier to apply, I think, so you have to be careful with this one as the eye has a natural curve!
A line drawn with the tip of the liner:
If you have a lot of space around the eyelid, what a beautiful, thick retro line you could draw! On me, its’ harder as my crease is quite small and anything too thick will be hidden once I open my eye.
I did the line as thick as I could without it being too much – but then again this liner is supposed to be thick so…I kind of went with it! (NYX also do a Super Skinny version of this!):
Ignore my lashes – I am shedding the fake lash extensions at the moment and it is NOT pretty at all.
The pigmentation of the eyeliner is good – it’s very black and it’s nice and inky (I find some liquid eyeliners can dry out quickly and need a good shake – not this one).
Pros:
Very pigmented and dark
Use it like a pen!
Dries quickly
Good flow of ink…I mean liner
Lasts a long time
Cheap (I paid £7 from eBay it’s cheaper of course if you are in the US).
Cons:
The nib is pretty solid, it won’t bend or move so can be tricky
Will do a thick line only (but then again, it is a SUPER FAT marker!)
Verdict:
Yes I recommend, it’s so cute! But it’s not as easy as my beloved Shu Uemura liquid eyeliner or my new Laneige Easy Liner (review coming up!) so I won’t be using this every day.

Not sure what Tippex is, but I can’t say that I did any of the rest in high school. I guess we were all just boring.
