** Contains graphic images of feet. If you have an aversion to feet, peeling skin or badly applied fake tan then look away**
So it began on a Friday night, as all good things do, when I got peckish. I started stabbing the other half in his chops with my foot, as I always do, “Get me a snack, get me a snack.”
“Geez,” he replied “sort your foot out its rough!”
Well, well, well. There’s a pot calling kettle black – the other half has huge, hideous hobbit feet with tufts of sprouting hair that has more than one layer of hard skin but still – I was insulted. So I bit the bullet and paid £10 for this foot treatment I had had my eye on for a while:
This is basically a treatment that comes in two plastic bags – you put your feet into the bags for 1 hour to hour and a half. Wash then over the next 7 days, the hard skin layer, the horny (hehe) layer will fall off.
In ingredients (I threw the box away, duh) list there are a number of acids..yep this is a peel!
You get this sachet:
The foot bags contain the liquid. You cut off the seal then put your feet inside. There is a small seal you can use to make sure its snug.
Hmmm. I am a size 7 UK – that’s quite normal these days but still big especially compared to my Japanese cousins but my feet just about fit. The other halfs size 11 hobbit feet would not fit in here:
Now lets observe my feet (before treatment) (click on read more):

I want to do another tutorial but what? I’m not much inspired by anything in particular. If you have any requests or ideas please let me know in the comments.

Current tutorials are on here.
I made a little Helena Rubinstein haulage a while ago via eBay and fell in love. In a time when some make up brands are screaming and kicking like little kids trying to get attention, its nice to find a brand that is elegant, efficient, gorgeous…
Demi Moore is the face of HR. She looks bootiful in the promo pics.
Anyway I found this set online consisting of a duo and the Feline Intense Mascara (they have another mascara called the feather collection – sounds like it would be good for holding curl).
How cute is the packaging? I haven’t had a proper chance to try it out (mascara overload!) but I will do soon and report back.
Eyeshadow – Nothing interesting in the colour – a cream and grey. Its medium soft and medium pigmented. It shouldn’t excite me but why does it so, so much?
Cos its just soooo creamy and easy to blend. Its pigmented but not overly so – it creates an easy and super elegant eye. Elegant. Like butter, it is.
I ordered from another seller a Wanted Lip Gloss in no. 14, (redder than the image suggests) a hot summer coral:
Once again, this gloss is not too thick and the shimmer is very refined. It leaves like a thin veil of gloss on the lips but its just gorgeous, so easy to wear and a simple little beauty. It doesn’t need tons of glitter or bold, brash colouring because its a natural beauty.
Gawd, I want to be near a HR counter, bad. Or maybe I don’t if I dreams of owning an iphone shortly are to come true?!
eBay has all the goodies mentioned on this post – HR is not sold in the US or UK (no counters).
Hot weather has arrived in the UK – trust me it won’t last. But even so, with just a peek of sun I dashed out to get some sunglasses, dresses and flip flops. But what about the face?
I need something with SPF. Something moisturizing as my skin has been dry, but non oily. Something with medium coverage. So I got this Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizer and the new Touch Up Face Stick.
Bobbi Brown, I think makes my favorite base products overall with the exception of RMK’s lovely creamy foundation and La Mer’s Cream foundation (both my HGs). Japanese ranges don’t end to go dark enough for me.
Having said that I normally avoid tinted moisturizer – I find them somewhat orange, as if just because its sheer, it doesn’t matter if its a weird colour. I got BB’s in Medium-Dark which is perfect. It looks just like a foundation but of course, I use it instead of a lotion in the day and it has SPF 15.
I REALLY like this. It gives a surprising amount of coverage and lasts well too even when I forgot my powder. I’m not saying its foolproof but my skin looked natural all day.
The face touch up stick is a mini stick, which you can use for touch ups – it hink its between a foundation and concealer with 17 shades! I got natural:
It’s quite creamy but very nice – covered all my blemishes and redness that appeared in the day. Easy to blend, decent lasting abilities. Recommend this as I love little quick fixes. You could just carry this or use this stick and some pressed powder in the day – done!
The tinted moisturizer is £25.50 and the touch up stick is £17.00 from here.
I am always on the hunt for new, interesting things so slapped down my funds when I saw these goodies on Beauty Shop (A UK based site – all in Chinese but I always manage to muddle through and purchase).
With the current exchange rate and the cost of international shipping and customs the slightly inflated prices of these goodies makes it work out quite well, and Beauty E Shop offer free SPECIAL delivery over £19.99.
I got three things – Aqua Sheer Pressed Powder, Aqua Colour Controller and the Eyelid Primer – I got all three for about £30.
I wanted this primer just because I love the snotty green shade and I do get redness:
The texture is very light and sheer- you can easily apply this all over the face, and you wouldn’t look green at all. It’s light, it doesn’t feel heavy at all and has mild red calming abilities.
Smoothing:
Perfect for the summer but don’t expect it to calm conditions like rosacea.
The eyelid primer is a light, pale pale yellow which is for the eyelid but also for under the eye (applied before a concealer). It is indeed pretty light – evens things out nicely though and works well as a base but I wouldn’t recommend it for very dark skinned ladies – looks racoonish.
It’s got a medium texture – not overly soft and not oily at all.
The Aqua sheer powder comes in three shades and the the darkest one that I got was a god match for my NC35 skin. It comes in a nice white case:
This is a great powder. Its so creamy it verges on powder foundation and offers a good amount of coverage and a matte finish. I put this on and it lasts too – I like it a LOT. Its very creamy and better than the Chanel White Essential powder I bought for £60 smackers a while go.
You can see his main site here (based in Taiwan) one of his videos here and buy if you are in the UK here.
Really like this range will be back for more!
