I wrote about a Decleor facial I had a few weeks ago which was just divine! Since then I’ve been playing with more Decleor products and one of my favourites is their Exfoliating Cream.
I have been told time and time again that I need to exfoliate better (eek) but I am quite lazy with it and my skin is sensitive. Fiona Brackenbury, of Decleor did tell me not to use grainy exfoliators if possible because my skin marked easily (true). Hence, enter the Exfoliating Cream!
This product is different to anything else I have tried before. During my facial, Fiona used a ‘pro’ version of this and it was the weirdest thing when she was rubbing it off – it felt like sandpaper. But the results were amazing!
So this is a cream which looks a lot like a foam wash, but you apply it, let it dry and rub it off. As you rub it off, the dead skin comes off too.
This product reminds me a little of Asian peeling gels which are also a grain free way to exfoliate! Except the Decleor, you have to let it dry and it is a bit more exfoliating than the liquid ones.
Here is the cream – very much looks like a foam wash:
The mask on – it spreads unevenly, it is like a thick foam before you’ve added water after all! Excuse the eye make up!
I left mine for around 5 minutes, then began to rub.
The bits come off everywhere, so be warned – do this over your skin or in the shower before you turn the water on. I find with peeling gels there is less mess – don’t know why, perhaps the Decleor takes off more dead skin.
After it is all rubbed off you can rinse as normal. The bits are a pain and take a while to get them all off!
The peel off process leaves this:
My skin felt amazing afterwards – so smooth!
On my sensitive skin, I felt some tingling when it was drying – not enough to make me want to rinse it off. Once it was off my skin felt nice and not red or anything.

Hi Jam
It’s a real spa brand isn’t it? I guess that gives it quite a good reputation IMO

I love stuff like this that’s slightly gross in a way….stuff that peels and stuff that rips pores out lol I’d quite like the satisfaction of rubbing off the dead skin cells on my face. And at least it doesn’t make your skin red or sore…thumbs up
