Lips of the day time!
You know – I just love lipsticks and lip glosses but when you have so many, it’s hard to find something that is really lovely and impressive. Also the prices of lip products have seemed to soar, even high street brands like L’oreal are pushing £10 for a basic lipstick!
By Terrys Gloss Terrybly (geddit?) Shine is a plumping, shiny lip gloss. It is firming, anti-aging and moisturises too:
It contains (apparently) something called Kiss Me Quick extract, derived from a plant that grows in South America. It stimulates collagen and creates an illusion of volume and plumpness…
There are 5 shades in the Hydra-Lift Lip Lacquer range and I have 02, Honeymoon Kiss, a nude pink with gold highlights.
The tube feels slightly chunky, which I like, and I like the lid which has the embossed lettering on the cap.
This pink, I felt was quite generic in the container. I wasn’t sure…we all know ByTerry is NOT a cheap brand, it’s actually quite eye wateringly expensive so I wasn’t sure if this would have extra va-va-voom (I bought 2 Chantecaille glosses a while ago and didn’t think they were amazing for the price).
There’s a beautiful gold and peachy undertone to it:
I love the applicator shape – it is quite subtly different to other ones, theres a slight point to it that makes it quite nice for creating a neat shape:
The lip gloss is really beautiful – it’s a neutral pink at the end of the day but it really made my lips feel and look healthy, plump and glowy. There is a definite sheen to it, but it doesn’t look to reflective or metallic (I hate that).
Also, there is a slight pearl to it but it is such a fine subtle pearl that looks really gorgeous on the lips. There is also the right amount of milkyness to it.
