I liked the look of the Takano collection from Shu Uemura, especially this Miracle Cherry Blush Tint. Unfortunately it wasn’t released in the UK so I had to scour eBay for it.
This took FOREVER to arrive. A month. It was ordered before Christmas and seemed to be sucked into a postal vortex.
Cute packaging!
I am so into cream based products I really am – obviously it can’t be greasy or creasy though….
The packaging of this is like a lip gloss.
I like it, it’s cute and it’s also extremely handy to use and carry round, more so than a pot cream blush which requires dipping your fingers into it, or a liquid blush that can go everywhere. Also it doesn’t need brushes for application!
Here is the stuff! I was surprised – it’s a gel, very siliconey feeling (which I don’t like) and almost like a lip balm. I wanted something less transparent, something with a creamier look:
It’s also very red – I thought – well I hoped it would err more on the pink/purple side so that it would be more interesting, instead it’s a bog standard reddish tint.
Like I said earlier I don’t like this silicone feeling on the skin and it can make me break out too. It works fine with this product although with the texture I wouldn’t like it on top of my foundation (makes it bunch up) or under it (wouldn’t show up). Maybe when I have better skin without a base product, eh?!
Blended in:
All in all, more of a style than substance product. At least it looks cute?!

I’m the opposite, I quite like the silicon feel ^^
However I was able to get it in the UK, at the Shu Uemura store, I had seen it in a few Space NK too. xx

I got mine from the Shu store in London. It wasn’t on their site though, so maybe they only stocked it in London based stores?

Hi
You may be right they didn’t have it in concessions near me!

Hey, I’ll buy it from you on a blog sale. It’s cute, not a bad shade, and I like the silicone feel. Weird?

LOL! Shari you know me so well!

Thanks for the review. I’m sorry to hear it didn’t work for you. The packaging is so cute and I don’t mind the silicone feel. The shade’s not bad either.

I do like this collection a lot…saw the colour palette in the sale section in Harvey Nics, down to £28 I think, so was very tempted to get it but managed to persuade myself that I didn’t need yet another palette…sheer willpower!!

I got mine from the London Shu Uemura store and I saw it in a few other stores in London and other UK cities. I quite like it, it gives my cheeks a very pretty “just got in from the cold” kind of pink colour, it’s very cute and I use it a lot now that it’s winter. What surprises me more is that it looks really different on your hand than it does on mine, probably cause I’m a bit paler. They should have brought out more shades or one that works better on most skin tones, not just pale ones.
