I don’t think I’ll go for a fish pedicure again, so it’s just as well that I have some home pedicure goodies!
Remember the Ped Egg (aka. Cheese Grater for feet?). The new upgraded version is the Bullet Pedi Pro, the ‘electronic personal pedicure’ device from JML. This is battery operated (oh-er) and has 2 speeds, as well as replaceable pads. Like the previous version, the dead skin goes into the base of the machine to tip out.
They say: Pedi Pro Deluxe is a professional pedicure treatment that fits in the palm of your hand. This electronic personal bodycare system has a high-speed rotating head, with hundreds of ultra fine micro-crystals. The head quickly, but gently, removes dead and hard calloused skin, while exfoliating and rejuvenating your feet.
Is it any good?!
First off, let’s look at the machine. I swear it looks like a sex toy. I don’t know why, it just looks like a giant erect nipple to me. If your mother in law came around you end up swinging it around and saying, ‘it’s a foot file! it’s a foot file!’.
Pull off the silver part to reveal the grater bit. The other bit is for the batteries.
Inside is a silver part which has giant holes. We tried using this – now it looks very scary when turned on, like a hacksaw. Obviously for this reason I tried it on Mr C to see if it’d draw blood – but it doesn’t. If you apply too much pressure the machine automatically stops right away.
I found this machine to be quite gentle; I guess because you just can’t press it too hard without it stopping, where as with the Ped Egg, or other foot files you can really get at the hard skin (sometimes this is not a good thing though!).
Now – stick a black pad on (they give you a few in the pack), then we are talking. I immediately felt the skin smoothing out and I had quite nice, soft feet after that.
Once again isn’t for heavy duty filing by any means. If you have bit massive wodges of hard skin you may want to use a traditional file first to get it off as this wil help smooth out, but it won’t chip away at thick layers of dead skin IMO.
Don’t use this anywhere stupid as the dust goes everywhere, so keep it in the bathroom or somewhere easy to clean. This does turn hard skin to dust, rather than chunks that are easier to clean away so bear in mind.
Verdict: I like it, it is a good upgrade, and works for me as I don’t have lots of dead skin. If I did I’d prefer the original Ped Egg.

Great review. I’ve been wanting to try this for a while now as I love my current manual ped egg! It’s disgusting but I love seeing what it removes! Thankfully I don’t have a lot of hard skin so I may just stick to my regular ped egg but I may have to get one to try on Mr BB!
