It serves me right for losing my Japonesque Tweezers – they were serving me so well then POOF – they just disappeared. I’ve tried to find them but to no avail… Then I read about these Slice tweezers. Quite simply the best, they said. So I paid far more then they are actually worth having them shipped over from the USA – I paid around £27 in total. Sigh. Here they are: I’ve never actively […]
I don’t think I’ll go for a fish pedicure again, so it’s just as well that I have some home pedicure goodies! Remember the Ped Egg (aka. Cheese Grater for feet?). The new upgraded version is the Bullet Pedi Pro, the ‘electronic personal pedicure’ device from JML. This is battery operated (oh-er) and has 2 speeds, as well as replaceable pads. Like the previous version, the dead skin goes into the base of the machine […]
I thought that my foundation brush hauling days were over after I bought the Shu Uemura Goat Hair brush but alas…when I saw this foundation brush from Shiseido, the 131, I had to buy it. I am a sucker for interesting brush designs and with it being Shiseido…I knew it would be good, PLUS it is pretty much the same as the Shisedo The Make Up foundation brush on the Western market. Shiseido as we […]
When I read that Kleenex had released some skincare products I rolled my eyes…big roll…like really?! Nevertheless I was intrigued… When the products arrived I was rather pleased; Kleenex didn’t launch a range of facial washes or soaps, no, they stuck to what they know – tissue! There are 4 products in the range all nicely packaged: Facial Cleansing Wipes and Eye Make Up Removal Wipes £2.99 each for 24 wipes….
I lose eyelash curlers more often than I lose my keys, which is at least once a day…you know how Hansel and Gretel leave crumbs behind them to find their way home? I’d leave a trail of eyelash curlers. So this year I invested in about five pairs of lash curlers, anticipating any emergency situations. See I get really ratty when I can’t find my curlers. Koji are a Japanese company that focus on lashes […]
I have seen these around for ages but I finally bought one from a discount store for £1.99! The Orgasmatron is a head massager, like a clam type contraption that looks like an instrument of torture: I tried this out – what a weird sensation! I felt my entire head tingle – urgh – like getting chills down my spine but I sort of liked it! I used it on Mr C and he collapsed […]
I went for a facial at the Trish McEvoy counter near me a week or so ago. (In case you don’t know, a lot of brands in department stores like Harvey Nichols and Selfridges will have a beauty room that some brands book the space and use to give their clients facials using their products.) Usually there is a charge for the treatment and this is redeemable on a purchase. I’ve these kinds of facials […]
Have I ever told you how rubbish I am at styling my hair? No? Well I am. I envy the ladies that always have swish ready hair even at 8am on a Monday Morning. So, at Casa Candy, if I am going to do my hair, I need to use easy peasy hair styling tools. My dream hair is loose, beachy waves, the ones that look almost like they could be natural. Remember when I […]
I am obsessed with lashes although I definitely make plenty of lash/mascara mistakes…all the time! But I’m learning! I am generally too lazy to give my lashes a comb through (even though I should) but I just don’t have time in the morning when I do my make up to go to work. I was interested in trying the Savvylash tool because it’s a quicker way of getting rid of clumps! Ok so the Savvylash […]
My addiction to eBay has hit an all time high! Does anyone else get scour the site for random things to buy? Well I was looking for a compact way of carrying creams and foundation for when I go away on a short break, and found these cute Hello Kitty Contact Lens cases for £4 each including shipping. Its funny – when you go to Asia, there is a lot of Hello Kitty stuff, but […]
Clever ladies, I have a new guess what it is for you today! It comes in a pack of 12…. It was very useful on my travels. Its hard. Take a closer look… What do you think it is?
So I was in the baby section of Boots the other day (don’t ask….) and I spotted these cute ear buds (or Q-tips!) made for delicate babies ears: I know, these have been around for ages and I am sure you mummies will be familiar, but I couldn’t help but be fascinated by them. Poking your ear drum is no joke! It really hurts and I have done it a million times before… I have […]

I love browsing in bargain book stores – stationary and books must be two things that I just love to buy guilt free….its “educational”. I spotted these two in the bargain book store (The Works)- a brush drying tool for 99p and the brush washer for £1.99: It’s like getting a flat pack!: Read on!
Last week, my work colleague taught me the phrase “Brain Fart”. According to Urban Dictionary this is: A spontaneous stupid (Stupid the noun, not stupid the adjective) usually accompanied by loss of train of thought and saying something fantastically stupid without realising it. I have brain farts constantly, and I was having one when I picked up this item from www.adambeauty.com: I love shopping on Adambeauty and find myself randomly adding cheap tit bits into […]
I hate cleaning my make up brushes. I have a ton of them and I normally wait till they are encrusted with blue sparkly dust before giving them a good clean. I use random things to clean my brushes including: 1. Baby shampoo (good for a deep cleanse, takes ages to dry) 2. Isopropyl Alcohol (kills germs, dries really quickly, good for quick changes but can be drying long term) 3. Branded cleansers like Clinique, […]
Muji is a Japanese shop full of simplistic home, kitchen, bathroom and clothing goodies. Even though the style is minimalistic, they always seem to have lots of lovely designs and random bits of stuff to die for. The other half loves Muji for men’s clothing and I like it for kitchenware (like my sideways fridge jug) and stationary. I also love their acrylic storage items. Muji is also great for beauty supplies! They have a […]
Shu uemura make some of the best beauty tools out there – not just the brushes (oh, Kolinsky brush, how I love thee), but actually tools. Like man tools, but better…
