SANA Esteny Hip & Leg Power Tight Gel Review

I am really into tight tights lately – why do I mean? I mean tights that are thick and tight, and therefore apply a certain amount of pressure on your lower legs to keep the circulation going and help relieve aches and pains (which I have been getting a lot :P ).

SANA is one of my favourite Japanese brands for quirky fun goodies, and their Esteny range sells a number of body products for the legs, hip, thighs, face with the emphasis on slimming.

I bought SANA Esteny Hip & Leg Power Tight Gel because I wanted something that would be really refreshing for my legs. This contains bitter orange and is supposed to give a cool-to-hot sensation.

I have the Shiseido Body Creator aromatic sculpting gel – tingly – and it was so tingly it actually became uncomfortable! I found myself running around my house going, “make it stoppppp” – it was like being plunged into a cold shower. Eek.

Luckily, SANA’s Hip & Leg Power Tight doesn’t go quite that far.

Instead this gel is a clear orange concoction, which smells citrusy and feels really nice on the legs (I wouldn’t use this on sensitive areas, if you know what I mean).

On the legs, bum and hips, it leaves a nice cold tingly feeling which gets quite warm, but not uncomfortably so.

I don’t know about things looking ‘tighter’ but my skin looked very smooth after and it certainly ‘felt’ firmer (but I don’t believe any cream is going to create any permanent firming). If you think you are going to get lucky, this is the cream for you…

The only downside to this stuff I guess (it’s pretty affordable for 200ml) is that it’s not mega hydrating for those with extremely dry skin. It could also irritate very sensitive skin or people who have a skin condition.

I didn’t get any rashes or irritation though.

Verdict:

I could do with a good moisturiser for my body but I am too lazy to use one, but I’m not too lazy to use this because I like the cool to hot effect! I also love the smell and how quickly this sinks in so for me, this is a keeper. I also want to try the SANA Cool Tights leg cream which is made specifically for sore calves.

I bought this from adambeauty.com for about £8.

interesting! I’ve tried the shiseido body creator stuff but it doesn’t have much of an effect on me. I may check this out or the cream for sore calves first.

I was wondering if you’ve used 2B Alternative Skirt Ready Gel? It does the same thing but works better! However it’s roughly £27 so it’s pretty pricey :/

Hi Lexi

I was tempted by that 2B Skirt Ready Gel but I was too stingy to buy it!!!

There’s a horse chestnut gel in Boots that is supposed to help with tired, aching legs, think it is a cooling one rather than warming…I quite fancy trying this SANA one, I stand up all day at work so it might help relieve my heavy feeling legs

Hi

The bodyshop one is a gel – not the best for hydration x
