So I got my mitts on these two pretty mineral lipglosses from Tallulah Cosmetics:

I am a sucker for lip gloss, but I really need to stop buying them since they go off fairly quickly and I am no where using all of mine up. These glosses are ‘mineral’ and smell of custard-vanilla.

They say: This unique gloss formula is 100% paraben free, with minerals (Mica, TiO2, Iron/Tin Oxides) and a natural humectant (castor seed oil) that work together to draw and lock in moisture. The Lip glossary is created with minerals to give a naturally fuller looking pout without harsh addidtives or stinging

I choose a super shimmery plum pink (Brazilla

) and a hot orange-red (Mouth of the South):

The colours are pretty sheer. They are neither sticky nor light, somewhere inbetween – very much how you’d expect a gloss to feel. The orange red for example, is no where near as pigmented as you would think. It would take some layering to get it to really show – perhaps a good shade for day to day and a topper on a red lipstick for when you want really loud lips?

Brazilla is HOT and I’d recommend this shade – once again pretty sheer but filled with microsparkles:

Verdict? They are nice glosses and are plumping without stinging. The shade selection is small but there’s someone for everyone there. I can’t say this is the *best* gloss I have ever tried but its certainly a good one and you get quite a lot of product. I would check the ingredients list if you want to see if this product has any potential allergens (after the jump).

They cost £14.97 each and you can buy them here.

Ingredients (Brazilla): Complete Ingredients

Complete Ingredients (Mouth of the South):

Ok, so not *totally* natural! But paraben free – so its a step in the right direction.

If you’re looking for REALLY natural lipgloss, might I suggest Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar? The ingredients are all natural, vegan, and the gloss itself is highly pigmented; more like a glossy lipstick, really. The colors are amazing too. I think you’d like the ‘NSFW’ and ‘Safety Orange’ shades, and there’s a completely clear shade that’s perfect for mixing with pigments to create custom lip colors. As soon as the clear and NSFW shades are back in stock, I plan to get those.
