For some reason my hair does not live up to its Asian sterotype of long, dark, strong, glossy, lush. Instead its dry and difficult to manage – has been for a long time. There were times when birds would come and rest on my shoulder, for Christssake!

I have reviewed Organic Colour Systems shampoo before (its wonderful) but when I got the Hydrate Leave-in conditioner, I wasn’t too sure.

Mainly because I have always had bad experiences with leave in conditioner. I remember trying ones by Aussie and Vidal Sasson as a teenager, and the oily greasy slick they left, or even worse, a crunching noise when I moved my head. Even though my hair is in serious need of nourishment, it just doesn’t like store bought leave in conditioners – they are just too heavy.

I have been using this for a few weeks and…it has bowled me over no end. It smells like pina colda! The whitish cream is medium thick and I use it al over my ends the my – lets call it undercoat, which is ridiculously knotty and straw like. I apply it after washing when my hair is wet and either let it dry nauturally or give it a blast with the hairdryer.

This stuff is miracle cream for dry hair. Its non greasy and doesn’t not make you look like you are wearing any product in your hair – even when I was a little heavy handed with the product!

I didn’t use it the other day and my hair balloned into its previous scarecrow-esque stance. Its not only annoying, it looks bad and I end up dragging a brush through it = split ends.

It also smells nice and is easy to use. I am always looking for products that work when the hair is wet as I am not a fan of slapping on lots of greasy stuff once the hair is dry and this is 100% the hair product I will use every time I wash my hair. Oh and its organic.

I can’t think of anything negative about this product.

It does work best on dry hair though, if you have very fine hair it could be too heavy but it really isn’t the usual, nasty, uber thick gunk you get.

This is Hair HG! 5/5

My hair’s kinda like yours. I’m having a bad hair day right at this moment. Plus my scalp is pretty sensitive.

Arrghhh, would I be able to find this in Canada? Sounds like it would work on my hair. I don’t use any hair styling products except for a leave in conditioner. My HG is Neutrogena’s Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In Cream. It leaves my hair super hydrated and smooth and even has UV protection.

Hi Sue, I just picked up this product at an Organic hair salon in Georgetown Ontario. Your best bet would be to get in touch with the company and ask them for the salons near you that carry it. Worth it. Great stuff!!
