So, Jo Malone may be well known for their scents and candles, but they also have a range of skincare goodies too. As a self certified lip balm addict (it’s a sickness, like buying Kinder Eggs) I had to try their luxurious Vitamin E SPF15 Lip Balm:

The lip balm is so posh it comes in a box. What? Chapstick doesn’t come in a box does it?!

This Vitamin E lip balm comes in a tube, which I prefer, and is a thick balm texture, thicker than vaseline and less ‘oily’. As far as I can tell it is pretty scent-less, apart from the natural butters that are present. This is good for those of you who dislike scented products (I am really not a fan of heavily scented lip or base products).

Ergo, this lip balm feels surprisingly ‘simple’ in the sense that it’s a scentless, colourless, thick balm. I could be vaseline (and it does contain Petroleum), but it’s much nicer in texture, thicker and ungreasy:

With so many lip balms I always grab whatever is available to me at the time. This lip balm is one that I go for when less it more, and I just want a slightly glossy lip and lots of thick protection. It has more glide going on than say Lanolips (which I also like a lot) so works well even when it’s cold outside.

Yeah but is it worth £22, you’re thinking? Well it really depends on how you like your lip balm. If you are happy with your Carmex, then there’s no need to rush out and buy this but if you like simple balms and love Jo Malone this is a nice treat.

I have a few high end lip balms from La Mer, Sisley and SKII and I seriously love them all even though they are different plus I’ve had them since 1984 (not really) – they last forever. Or maybe it’s because I lose them before I finish them. Hmm. At least they don’t make you fat, like Kinder Eggs.

You can buy it here for for £22.

Hmmm….£22! But I spent more than that on my La Mer lip balm, which I love!

I think this is one of those products where I’d better not try it for fear that I get addicted to it. Sounds like a nice balm, but I’ll stick to my $5 budget for these things :)
