Illamasqua sent a few goodies to bloggers a while ago. I’ve only just had the chance to take a look at them, but here’s my take on the products I was sent.

So I have for you the Precision Ink in Alchemy and Liquid Metal in Superior. I haven’t used Illamasqua for a while – no particular reason, just haven’t stopped by the counter for a while.

The packaging is still the same, simple sleek and black. The precision inks are fairly new, I think, and come in a variety of colours. I love my liquid eyeliner, I do, so was intrigued about these ones.

I also like the liquid metals a lot – I just like cream based products although I do think that they crease.

Ready for some pigment?!….Ta Da! Superior Liquid Metal is a beautiful electric blue – it reminds me of Wonder Woman.

Alchemy is a rich gold glitter liquid eyeliner. The tip is interesting, somewhere between a brush and a felt tip (I prefer felt tip liners) so it works quite well and is easy to use.

I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a proper ‘precision’ eyeliner, in the sense that the ends of the brush/sponge splay a little, it’s a bit squidy…..

Something like the Koji has a super super fine tip which is more of a precise liner…anyway I digress.

The colour is beautiful!

The Liquid Metal is great, not a let down at all – in fact I think they have improved the formula from the original colours because this seemed to ‘set’ better and lasted well.

I’d say you’d have to layer the Liquid Metal to get a really intense colour when using it on the eyes though…

The Precision Ink is really interesting. The formula is really liquid yes it’s filled with loads and loads of tiny micro sparkles. I hate liquid glitter liners that are all base and sparse in glitter – this Illamasqua one is FILLED with shimmer.

Can’t lie though – it wasn’t the easiest to work with because:

a. It’s very runny. Under the eye, before it even dried it had started to drip down a little and

b. It sets quickly – be quick if you make a mistake!

Having said that when it sets, it lasts and lasts to the point where it can be a bit tricky to get off. Well, to be honest my mascara is usually bionic so by the time I’ve got that off, this liner has gone too so it’s not biggie for me.

Really random messing about with the colours:

Verdict:

I like both products, I think they are both quite original, long lasting and well worth a look.

You did a great look with those two products!
That liner is already on my wishlist, but the liquid metals from this collection are too tempting as well..! Decisions…decisions…!
