Another Christmas present I got from Mr C was a rather impressive haul from Giorgio Armani; impressive because he went and chose a lip gloss for me and I am pretty hard to buy for (I had pretty much hinted about what shades of the Eyes to Kill I wanted in case he got me a really horrible colour).
When you buy a few items from Armani they put it in a nice red gift box for you. Here are the items I got in the end, Eyes to Kill in 3 and 15 which are purple and bronze, and a Gloss D’Armani in Pink 503:
The Eyes to Kill look so gorgeous in the tub; a mixture of a few hues in a loose powder form that’s really tightly compacted. They are EXPENSIVE at £26 each. Gloss D’Armani is also pricy at £23.50 but it’s all very high end, nicely packaged and luxe.
On to the eyeshadows!
I chose No. 3 which is purple and gold. I like this dairy milk combination:
You can feel how tightly packed down the powder is; it’s almost like a normal eyeshadow except you could flick the powder about and make it loose again if you really wanted to. It feels like a cream because it is so soft and pigmented too.
No 15 is a bronze combination with specks of black:
With both of these eyeshadows, I found the lighter shade prevailed and although they are both super soft, pigmented, and very pretty to wear, they are also not as ‘intense’ and smoky as I expected.
Swatch:
15 looks like a dirty bronze, I don’t see tons of the black pushing through and 03 is a warm golden mid purple, not as rich and deep as I expected. Not a problem it’s still very pretty.
Ingredients:
I think these are super pretty and there are some interesting combos like the red and black mix. Having said that they are SO expensive for what they are. I will do a comparison of these and L’oreal Infalliable soon so you can see if they are worth the price.
Gloss D’Armani is a wet look long lasting gloss which Armani says can last up to 8 hours. I wouldn’t have chosen this shade for myself but I am glad Mr C did as it’s different to my usual milky nudes. This Pink 503 is a medium sheer pink with sparkle.
I love the applicator – it fits the lips nicely and applies the colour evenly:

I have No 15 too and really like it. They are so soft and easy to blend too. I wear it as a wash over the lids with some of the Laura Mercier kohl smudged under my eye and I’m ready to go!

I LOVE the GA Eyes to Kill shadows. I have a couple and if I had my way (and a truckload of cash and a local GA counter) I’d own them all I just picked up a GA gloss and this one looks very pretty on you. I think you have taught Mr. C well
