Welcome to a full week of eyeliner reviews from my latest finds from March 2011! Each review will be number 1 – 7.
Lord & Berry Smudgeproof 700 Series Pencil Eyeliner doesn’t look like anything special; just a standard black pencil but it’s supposed to be waterproof, smudgeproof and run proof. It dries in 30 seconds to ‘set’.
I have shade ‘In The Black’ which is a pure black. There’s quite an interesting set of colours, worth checking out if you are sick of black eyeliners!
The pencil:
Overall the standard of eye pencils has really gone up! This Lord & Berry pencil is beautifully pigmented and very creamy, making it easy to apply. It has a soft matte finish and I found it worked on my waterline too.
Swatch:
Despite it’s softness there was very little running with this eye pencil. I’m not sure if it ‘sets’ as such but once it was on, it really stayed for much of the day. It only started to move at the very end of the day.
It has a slightly waxy fell to me which I don’t usually like in an eye pencil but ultimately it didn’t affect how it looked on my eyes:
Verdict: Can’t criticise this pencil – it does work very well, it stays put and is pigmented. Shame it can’t be bought on the highstreet though. Check out the range here.
