Review: Kerastase Nectar Thermique Thero Protective Hair Jelly!

February 7, 2010 |

I had a blow dry at the Hairdressers before Christmas and the lady in question (who did a so-so job) used this Keratase Nectar Thermique product on me.

I’ve never used Keratase before because its SO DAMN expensive. £20 for a conditioner! What?!

Still, I decided to try one of these out. It smells fantastic and it makes me look like a hair styling pro. I think.

They Say:

Nectar Thermique from Kerastase is ideal for dry to very dry hair. This new haircare treatment will become indispensable when heat-styling dry hair.

Nectar Thermique facilitates styling, resulting in a quicker and smoother blow-dry and leaving hair with supreme shine from root to tip, and feeling beautifully supple.

That’s what I want! Frizz control and shine!

So this stuff smells amazing. I don’t really heat style my hair that much but I wanted something to protect the hair. I hate crispy hair. I hate overly styled hair. I need my hair to be soft at all times if possible.

Here is the product itself – unfortunately not an orange jelly like I had fantasized:

This is nectar!

Anyway so this product is….well, its ok.

I followed the directions and rubbed it into my hair, especially the drier sections and blow dried. There was more shine but I didn’t notice that much frizz control, in comparison to my beloved Bumble & Bumble Tonic, or Aveda Be Curly.

So I would have to say this was….alright. Smells great. Looks pro. Works….alright.

One thing I will say is that at £15 its not too expensive and its also not greasy so you won’t overload if you use a little too much.

I’ve always been curious about Kerastase since it smells great and some people I know rave about it. Thanks for the review! I’ll pass on this product.

I use this!! At first I saw no improvement in my hair but after using it 3 or 4 times suddenly i noticed the difference. I used up my tube and now im using organix stuff which i must say is equally as goos at a fraction of the cost. Then again if someone gave me a gift of this again I would nt be to upset! lol
