I mentioned a recently that I did a little shop in Lush for http://cosmetic-candy.com/doxycycline-hyclate-uses/
So I have some updates on the products;
Firstly Jungle Conditioner. In a solid form smelling lovely, it is certainly an innovation.
It is hard to use. Very. Hard.
Literally I mean. It is a solid bar and if you try to lather it you won’t get much product off. I mean I was in the shower for 45 mins (altogether mind you) trying to get it to work. This is not a good daily product I swear, because its so awkward to use.
In the end I scraped some off and melted it between my fingers and smothered over my hair. In the shower, when my hair was wet, it still felt like straw. I couldn’t comb it wet in the shower, like I normally would because there was no visible difference.
Yes, I know, on the website it says that you have to wait, but if you need to wash and go, then forget it. Not only will you need to blow dry, you will have to fight with the knots.
That’s only on my hair of course – if you have shoulder length or short hair it could work well. It certainly smells nice (like…well, a Lush store!).
I won’t buy it again, but a block cost me £5 so I will use it all if it kills me!
Then I have also been using the lovely Squeaky Green Shampoo. I like this for its easy lather (and NO SLS), and smell, and clean sensation – but but but – it STINGS. My eyes that is. I had the smallest amount of bubble in my eye and it felt like acid it was so painful. And I poke myself in my eye a LOT but this was real, searing pain. So I am a bit too scared to use it again if I am honest – Shampoo should be eye safe right?!
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), Water (Aqua), Peppermint (Mentha piperita), Rose Absolute (Rosa centifolia), Chamomile Blue Oil (Matricaria Chamomilla), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Coumarin, *Geraniol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Limonene, *Linalool, Hydroxycitronellol, Chlorophyllin.
Could it be the peppermint? Maybe but I am not kidding when I say I had to have an emergency eyebath. Oh the shame!
Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Cetearyl Alcohol (&) Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Fresh Avocado Extract (Persea gratissima), Glyceryl Stearate (&) PEG-100 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Perfume, Soya Lecithin, Fresh Figs (Ficus carica), Fresh Bananas (Musa paradisiaca), Fresh Passion Fruit (Passiflora edulis), Fresh Kumquat (Fortunella japonica), Cetrimonium Bromide, Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata) Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides), Cypress Oil (Cupressus sempervirens), Sandalwood Oil (Santalum album), Chlorophyll, *Limonene, *Linalool.
* Occurs naturally in essential oils
In fairness, I let my hair dry naturally and it is quite smooth once dry. But how many people can let their hair dry naturally right? When I used a hairdryer after using this conditioner I resembled a beehive. Yes, yes, I know it’s in.
Huh. If the magic ingredient is the cocoa butter (apparently rinses away with water leaving smooth hair) then I might as well smear pure cocoa butter on my hair right?!!? I might give it a try….xanax online no prescription
