**For the next 6 days I’ve got 6 speed mascara reviews coming up. Who will be victorious?!**

If there was a cuteness competition, Dawn & Marylin’s mascara and primer would win.

Ever heard of them before? Neither have I and there’s little information about the brand online.

I did, about 3 years ago try this mascara and primer. I hated it back then. But seeing has so much time had passed, my lashes are longer and stronger I figured I’d give it another go. I do give products a second chance occasionally!

The packaging is uber cute, with it’s pink and blue tubes.

Both the primer and mascara are all about the fiber – therefore the result should be super long lashes.

I do think fiber mascaras work exceptionally well on my kind of lashes but on the down side, they do tend to irritate my eye (see SANA Gafixx).

Now the Secret Primer is extremely interesting. It’s a light blue colour and has lots of fibers as well as a creamy texture.

This means you have to be so careful when you apply it! It weighs the lashes down easily, but if you apply it very lightly it’s not too bad. You must use mascara on top of this because of the weird blue colour.

On the lashes:

The mascara is also extremely dense in fibers and is very black, super creamy and rich.

Unfortunately, once I put the mascara on it looked all crumbly and dry – perhaps it’s the overload of fibers but the very wet and creamy formula did not look nice once it had set.

The curl is kind of there but it starts to flop within an hour.

Verdict: I hated this 3 years ago and I hate it now.

I bought this from Adambeauty.com it was about £8 per item.

Love the cute packaging!! The results look quite good in the pic, not too much clumping, but personally I like my mascara to give more separation between individual lashes. Plus my eyes are itchy from just looking at those fibres lol

I hope at the end of day 6 you will have found one you liked!

Clinique Lash Power and Primer: thumbs down. The primer straightened out my just curled lashes. Tried mascara alone, the same.

Alas! I had high hopes too.

I’ve got lashes just like yours – long (compared to other Asians) but wispy and delicate so curl-holding ability is everything I’m after! The only stuff that hold them up are Majolica and Fasio but it’s unnaturally hard and crisp. I’m still searching for that perfectly light, separated, fanned, dark and wispy look that doesn’t smudge, clump or have bitty fibers :( any recommendations that don’t burn a hole in the wallet? :)

I’ve done my homework and read through aaaalllll your mascara reviews so I’ve got loads to drop cash on when I next walk into Boots :D

I really love the look of Lancome Virtuose, but it doesn’t hold a curl on me either! I wonder if using its brush with something with Boots Wild Curl might work :D

When I first tried it i hated it too but now I love it!!!!! I’ve always been a Lancome Hypnose junkie and this one was tooo much fibre for my liking…AT FIRST! but I learned how to apply it properly and now it makes my lashes look gorgeous! And it gives me that fake eyelash effect. I get compliments on how long and thick my lashes are whenever I use it!
