Have I ever told you how rubbish I am at styling my hair?

No? Well I am.

I envy the ladies that always have swish ready hair even at 8am on a Monday Morning.

So, at Casa Candy, if I am going to do my hair, I need to use easy peasy hair styling tools.
My dream hair is loose, beachy waves, the ones that look almost like they could be natural.

Remember when I told you about my first ever hair styling tool from Babyliss? I had to turn it on and go for a cup of tea, because on average it took an hour to heat up. And even then, it only took an hour for the curls to fall out again…

It wasn’t until I discovered the conical wand that gets really hot that I realized even stubborn hair like mine could keep a curl for the day. In fact, a colleague of mine asked me to recommend a hair curler to her because her hair also does not like to hold curl, and I recommended the Babyliss Pro Conical Wand:

Why?

Because I know she wants a product that is accessible on the high street. She wants a curler that is affordable, and something that really holds curl. She has extremely long hair too, and the Babyliss Pro Conical Wand comes in two thicknesses for long (19mm-32mm) and shorter hair (13mm-25mm).

I have other conical wands that cost double, even triple the price of the Babyliss, and to be honest – they all perform similarly.

I admit, the conical wand takes a bit of getting used too – you have to watch those fingers! But a heat protection glove helps, and also the overall look is a lot softer than a curler that clips the end of your hair (I always end up with a kink!).

If you are thinking of investing in a new hair styling tool should check out voucherscodes.co.uk who are currently offering discounts at Comet (http://www.vouchercodes.co.uk/comet.co.uk).

So that is my highly recommended hair tool. What is yours?

I love the beachy wavy hair style too so I was planning to buy a hair curler or a conical wand, but I saw some girls on YouTube using those Babyliss hot rollers (the pro version) and now I just want them so bad (the rollers, not the girls… xD ).

If you read the disclaimer it will explain the different kinds of posts are. I reserve the right to use whatever terminology I choose. I also reserve the right to ban people who continually leave comments that don’t add to the discussion of the post, but are just there to nit pick and ignore the enormous amount of work that goes into maintaining a blog.

I bought the Remington Spin Curl hairdryer after seeing several bloggers review it, and of course your video showing how it’s done! I love the relaxed tousled wave effect it gives, but for me it doesn’t last long enough, as after sleeping on it a lot of the curls lose their definition…maybe I should be using more hairspray?
Anyways, I personally love my ghd’s to curl hair as it’s so easy and fast, the only thing is I can never seem to get all my curls looking right!
I also have the Babyliss Pro Conical Wand, I just wish I was better at using it! It’s such a good buy, especially when I keep seeing the Herstyler concessions selling what is essentially the same tool for £100 in town!
So it looks like I have the tools but not yet the skills for perfect curls *sigh* Practice makes perfect though!
