Waxing for dummies: Veet Easy Grip Ready to Use Wax Strips Review

Maybe ‘dummies’ is a little harsh, but let’s face it, some people are better than waxing than others.

Me – I am about as unprofessional as they get. I stick it on and rip it off, then deal with the ingrown hair later.  I am getting really interested in trying different hair removal methods though, as long as they don’t involve too much pain.  More on that later.

So here I am with Veet’s newer ready to use wax strip, the ‘easy grip’.

This one is for normal skin is shea butter and berries (there is also a sensitive version).

Are wax strips built equal? Aren’t they all basically the same thing?

Well not really. Having used so many over the years (I am resident waxer for my aunts), the worst ones don’t stick and some other ones stick to the hair AND the skin. Some rubbish ones only last for one stick and you have to throw it away without getting another use out of it.

These wax strips are SO easy to use. I recently tried to warm up my own wax…time consuming, much!?

Here are the new strips – check out the rounded edge which makes it easier to grip on to and pull. It IS an improvement.

What I like about Veet is they also do bumper packs so you can buy these in 20s and in 40s.

Each strip comes with instructions too.

Are these Veet Easygrip Tab waxing strips any good? Yeah they are.  To be honest many I’ve tried these days are excellent and these are no exception. Get practically every hair, you can use it for another area (so say, 4 uses out of one 2 sided piece).

The easytab idea is clever but I think you can live without it. I am still in love with Simply Wax strips though – smell so good.

See the Veet hair removal range here.

I love getting waxed, but I’ve never found an in-store option that worked for me, so I’ve always paid to get it done. I’ll have to check out Veet. I’ve often had the issue of the wax sticking to my skin, not the hair, and being a pain to use.

Hi Phyrra

I know what you mean! I noticed pro waxers are good at waxing so it’s just the hair, not the skin!

You’ve inspired me to try home waxing. I might actually keep up with my legs if I don’t have to do the chore of shaving.

Hi Geek Faerie

Oh yes if I have to do either I wax although my skin is a bit sensitive it’s not as tedious as shaving! I do shave my underarms though! Not brave enough to wax there!

I used Veet waxing strips for as long as I can remember and was very excited to try these new Easy Grip ones. Unfortunately I was not impressed at all… With normal strips I needed 1 whole one (two sides) for each leg , considering I have a lot of hair, but with the new easy grip I used 3 strips (6 sides!!!) on each leg and it still didn’t do the job. I will not be buying then again :(

Hi Ollie

Oh no! Did you not like them? I think they worked well for me BUT – I am NOT that hairy at all. I usually have a few long hairs and that’s it so perhaps if you have more of a normal hairy leg then it struggles. I noticed the wax is more ‘moveable’ if that makes sense?

I just ides these strips, my dad was pulling for me. It absolutely didn’t get every hair, and it left my legs as they would be if I would have shaven them and waited for 24 hours. What am I doing wrong? How did you do?
