I have lots of Mascaras – half opened, half used – but I just had to buy Kose’s new Cosmagic Mascara - why? Because it comes with a lash ruler!

This mascara is supposed to make your lashes 3mm longer and the ruler is there to prove it.

I got this from eBay for about £10. It comes in a pretty pink tube:

The brush in an interesting spiral, which I have to say is EXCELLENT – one of the best brush designs I have used. It works well when you want to apply the mascara on the top of the lashes – you twirl and it grabs the hairs. It also separates well.

This mascara contains 5 types of fibers (don’t know which though!)

This is the ruler – this is the ruler!

Puny lashes before:

Measured up on the card – barely touches the first line.

After mascara – not really 3mm longer but thicker and a bit longer:

The mascara was ok on the curl but as you can see from the side, there is some flopping.

Pros:

The brush is fantastic, had a nice grip and was easy to use.

The mascara is great for lengthening.

It is buildable. The second time I used it I applied 3 coats and the result was quite striking.

Considering the fact it has tons of fibers it did not irritate (unlike Deja Vu Fiberwig – I only have to see a bottle and I can feel the fibers in my eyes)

This washes off with 40 degree water (luke warm water) – which is GREAT because my huge bugbear with Japanese mascaras is that they are TOO water tight and are impossible to take off without ripping out 50% of my lashes.

Cons:

It makes the lashes flop a little.

Verdict:

Despite the flopping I still adore this mascara – one of my favourites that I have tried recently and it comes highly recommended. It can be found on eBay or on www.ichibankao.com.

I would buy this mascara if it did not flop…

Interesting gimmick. Have you tried it with a mascara base? I’m wondering if it will still flop then.

WOW! I like the lash measuring device! LOL That’s what I need! When I read your post title, I was wondering how you measure your lashes! :)

Thanks for sharing this review!Great concept to measure your lashes! I Hope other mascara making companies would include it to their mascaras :D

Hey Nikki!

I know its a bit of a weird one, and its just a piece of card!!! It would be great if all brands included a ruler, it works as a mascara guard too! x

Hey Stomp n Chomp

I haven’t used it with a base but I just got a new Shiseido lash base so I will try this out. Its not MAJOR flopping but it is still flopping !

Hi Birkie

It is a fab mascara tho – I find most mascaras make my lashes droop a little. I’m going to test it with some bases and see if this helps :D
