The Face Shop is an interesting Korean brand with a large variety of make up and skincare items. I believe that the brand focuses on a ‘natural’ edge to it’s products, but it’s not a range I have tried too much of so far.
Anyway! Cos I like to have loads of multi use items in my carry round make up bag in case on a nuclear bomb, I am a sucker for make up like this.
The Face Shop’s Radiance Dual Veil Concealer stick has 2 concealers in one. One side is a sponge tipped cream concealer, the other is a stick. The shade is the same, the formula is different so essentially, you have a side for your face, a side for the under eye area.
This is quite a chubby stick! I bought it isn shade NB23 which is the darkest colour I could find – there were 2 more to choose from I believe.
Shade wise it works ok for my NC35 skintone – it doesn’t feel too light because you can really blend it in.
It’s worth remembering a lot of Korean products are made for lighter skinned people. I totally fail at getting good foundations from brands like Etude House and Skinfood because I am just that bit too dark for most and I hate looking ashy faced.
Back to this concealer!
The stick side is really firm – it’s a little hard but still covers blemishes on the face nicely.
This stick side was a bit naughty actually, because it snapped off in a week and I had to squish it back in – grrr – but otherwise I do like it, it covers redness well.
The cream concealer side is really good – excellent for under the eyes. It conceals and brightens too and you get quite a lot of product in the tube.
I liked both sides to this concealer and they really made it very effortless! The stick side I used on my face and around my nose and the cream side under my eyes and for larger areas of redness on my face, so that it wouldn’t cling to it like the drier concealer would.
Note the shades are very similar:
Verdict:
First purchase from The Face Shop and I like it a lot, I will buy other things from this range soon (even though the packaging is somewhat dull!)
I paid about £12 for this on eBay.
