I never liked peaches when I was younger. They were always furry, looked like little bottoms and were sour to the core. I like peach scented things though – I like peach melba and I like peach candles.

Skinfood’s Peach Sake Pore Essence is one of the more popular items from the range I have read about in various places.

This contains rice sake (yes, booze), peach extract rich in vitamins A and C, and silica powder which minimizes shine and the appearance of pores.

To use, after your toner or cream (if you have drier skin) apply gently and cover face with hands, for deep absorption.

Firstly, this is a very liquid formula. Even though it is light, it does work rather effectively at removing superficial shine and the appearance of pores. It also smells divine – like the centre of a freshly cut peach – yum yum yum. Slightly more likeable than Celery, Cheese or Beer.

But of course this means nothing if it doesn’t work. My verdict – its a LOVELY cream. It is very light so it sits well on top of your normal cream without adding too much grease and sinks in quickly. I used it at night and I noticed right away that my pores and skin seemed smoother the day after. Superficial? Possibly. I am always cynical about any type of pore treatment that thinks it can have long term effects since pore size is quite often genetic, but nevertheless, this is a gorgeous lotion, well recommend.

I got mine (45ml) from eBay for £10 including shipping – various sellers have it for sale.
