Sigh sigh sigh sigh sigh. Those are contented sighs.
Shiseido’s Spring offerings well and truly caught my attention (and trust me, it’s getting harder these days) and I think the new packaging (boxes and cases) and formulas are lovely. Evolve or die.
I have two pretty products to show you from the collection, the Luminizing Satin Eye Colour Trio in Punky Blues BL310 and Shimmering Rouge Lipstick in Alabaster.
Punky Blues is such a fun, gorgeous palette! I love it so much and I don’t have anything else in my collection like it…This palette is a mixture of blues and a pink but really fresh shades that are not too sheer, not too strong.
There’s a dark rich 80s denim blue, a medium toned denim blue and a baby pink which is very iridescent. I am into pinks at the moment so in my head this is a pink palette with some blue cousins!
Swatches:
I did an EOTD with it so this is my less than perfect application but I just love the pink and blue combination:
There’s also a very pretty violet trio which is on my hit list.
Shiseido’s new range of lipsticks is my big favourite at the moment (I already have Stiletto, a hot pink) so this shade in Alabaster in a natural alternative:
It’s a very cool toned beige, almost silvery on and will appeal to people who like nudes but with a shimmery side. It’s sheer so it won’t look to ‘deathly’. RD713 also looks delicious (it’s an unusual thing some Japanese brands do, where they take a red base but make the colour pale and quite greyish in tone – sounds strange but is really pretty).
Verdict:
Very pretty set which I have been wearing to work as a pick me up palette. Because the eyeshadows are still quite colourful the beige lipstick compliments it by keeping other things neutral.
The lipstick is £19.50 and the eyeshadow is £34.
Check out the collection here and you can also find stockists on the site.

Love how pigmented and creamy these shadows look, especially the pink as sometimes baby pinks can come out a bit non-existent, thanks for swatching!

Hi Jen
I love this palette! It’s so cute and wearable too because it’s sheer, but not too sheer! x
