I haven’t bought MAQUillage cosmetics in so long; it was one of the original Japanese brands that fuelled my love of high end cosmetics, and yet I struggle to find anything interesting from the brand. That’s because like many Japanese beauty brands, the range focuses on very wearable, subtle, shimmery, light textures – it’s practical, it’s perfect for the working woman, and yet it’s not that interesting for a beauty blogger to review. After such […]
I somehow managed to completely miss the Nars Eye Paint launch and subsequent hype – I guess because I have so many cream eyeshadows I wasn’t really interested in buying more. They nearly always go off before I have even got good use out of them. But then… I saw these colours on a Pixiwoo video and decided to buy one colour to try (the silver, as a love silver with warm brown eyeshadow). Then […]
The newest instalment of the Sleek i-Divine eyeshadow palettes is called Garden of Eden, and rather appropriately, it comes in a snakeskin print box; Sleek eyeshadow palettes are extremely good value of money, and come with a selection of 12 colours in each palette. They are good quality too, with soft and pigmented colours (in the past, I’ve found the palettes a bit fragile because of how soft they can be). Here’s a closer look at […]
I recently made a haul from VDL cosmetics, a Korean brand with quite a lot of interesting products and two of the eyeshadow products I got were VDL’s eyeshadows, specifically from the ‘Sparkle’ shades – the super glittery colours. I chose Sparkle Chocolat 208 and Sparkle Bronze 903; These eyeshadows come in boxes, and the actual cases are very similar if no identical to MAC solos. They are priced quite reasonably – I paid about […]
Lola is a new British designed make up collection (made in Italy) that launched in September 2013 and is sold at M&S (who have a pretty interesting beauty haul these days!). The range is fairly large with 307 products and seasonal launches on the way – there’s certainly a lot of colours to play with! I have a selection her which I have been trying! LOLA make up comes in simple classic black packaging. Whilst […]
Established in 2002, glo-minerals in a mineral make up range that contains pharmaceutical grade minerals, and a blend of vitamins. The cosmetics are also talc, dye, parable and perfume free. With so many mineral make up ranges around it’s hard to say what distinguishes them sometimes – but it’s always nice to try something new anyway. Glo-Minerals certainly has a vast range of products and shades to choose from and there’s definitely a sense of […]
Gosh – I remember the days when the pound was so strong against the dollar that I could roll on to adambeauty and buy an eyeshadow in every shade. Those days are gone, for sure. Nevertheless, when I saw Kanebo Kate’s newest gel eyeshadow offering I couldn’t resist picking up 4 shades. I love cream and gel eyeshadows! Kate’s previous offering of gel eyeshadows were more of a dense mousse texture and came in a […]
I reported on Guerlain’s Terracotta collection for 2011, aptly named Inca. It is a very pretty, very sexy collection indeed! I have 2 of the products here to look at! First up is the Terracotta Gloss in 07 Salsa: The terracotta lip gloss looks extremely bold and bright in the tube but it is very much a sheer and shiny finish lip product. Do not be afraid of the brightness!
