Smells like expensive ice cream: Lush Celestial Moisturizer for Dry Sensitive Skin Review

A few weeks ago I bought some new skincare from Lush and it’s all been pretty well used so here are some speed reviews of the products!

At the time of purchase, I was desperately after something to sort out my dry flaky skin (although I also get oilies down the t-zone and blackheads – d’oh). However combination skincare doesn’t really cater for the dryness or the oiliness I find, so I decided to invest in Celestial, solely to rehydrate my cheeks.

Celestial looks like a soft cream and contains lovely smelling stuff; vanilla, almonds…fresh dove extract? What’s that, crushed doves?

That’s blood by the way.

Anyway Celestial is indeed a lovely cream for dry and sensitive skins. In the space of 3 days it totally got rid of my flakies and hydrated. It smells delicious and whilst it feels a bit oily at first, this settles in, although this could be down to how dry my skin is.

Having said that because it has an oily feel, it’s a cream I will save for dry spells and when my skin is in need of loving. However I don’t really want to use anything too oil rich on my face everyday because I find this can plug up some areas of my face (like forehead and chin) so I want to stick to hydrating serums once my skin is better.

Nevertheless – great cream!

Is this the expensive lush cream? Apart from the bath bombs I can’t get my head around lush at all!
