I’ve got such a big soft spot at the moment for Korean Cosmetics. They are just as inventive as Japanese Make Up and affordable.

I bought some bits from Etude House’s LUCIDarling range – the feel is futuristic and the products remind me of Jill Stuart but more plastic.

I thought I was rather controlled, ahem, since I only bought four things! I wanted to test different things out before buying something in 10 shades like I normally do.

I got one eyeshadow quad, a blush, a trio gel liner (lovely!) and a lipstick! Going to go through each item here!

Here are the Eyeshadow choices, I got no. 4 which is a grey/smokey palette:

Here is what the case looks like:

Eyeshadow Quad:

Perfect for the smoky eye – theres a white highlighter, silver, grey and black. You get a sponge and brush applicator:

This eyeshadow quad is very nice – lovely, not extraordinary but still a lovely, medium pigmented and shimmer quad to own.

There are four blushers to choose from:

I got the rose combination rather than the pink and orange ones (even though orange blushers are my favourite!). Theres a combination of rose, brown, light peach and cream which can be used together or separately.

This didn’t swatch well at all on my fingers but when you use a brush, you can get a good amount of pigment.

They also had 3 gel eyeliners, I chose a rather fun orange, lime and gold gel liner which comes with a brush:

Swatches:

Love this! The liners are soft and pigmented, and I like how fun the quad is. It sets nicely, its not 100% water resistant though – used under the eye it faded away.

Finally the Fantastic Rouge Lipsticks – gorgeous:

I picked Mocha Beige No. 10 which is an unusual choice for me as it errs on the brown side:

The case looks pretty but its actually quite cheap plastic – not luxurious at all.

The lipstick looks dark in the case:

Oh my, this is so pretty on the lips. I love this lipstick!

Its pigmented and creamy, similar to YSL Rouge Volupte (not quite as creamy though) but gorgeous! I love it – I love rich pigmented lipsticks though…if you want something sheer this might not be for you:

One slight criticism of this is that if you have any dryness on the lips, it will make it look worse. You need lips in good condition to wear this.

So that’s my Etude House Haul! I’ve already made a second.

What do you think?
