Whenever I get another mascara to review, I am half expecting to be disappointed. See, I have these troubles, straight lashes that rarely behave; most mascara’s don’t work for me.

Boots No. 17 new mascara, Wild Curls says it will hold curl for up to 10 hours.

They say:

The innovative shocking pink brush coats and coaxes for clump-free, ravishing lashes. The wild brush has soft, uneven bristles that allow you to get right to the root and dramatically lift lashes.

With six times more volume 17 Wild Curls Mascara will hold that intense effect for up to 10 hours, keeping you looking purr’fect all day long.

Did I also mention that drugstore mascara’s disappoint me the most?

Anyway when I saw this snazzy brush I was please – I dislike overly large brushes (my lashes are too short for them) and this one has a nice short bristle. It doesn’t pick up too much product either:

Anyway so I decide to whip this mascara on…
Here are my lashes at the moment. I still have lash extensions in, but as they have started to grow out, they are starting to flop a little.

I applied one coat of mascara and here is the result!

Wow – I loved this mascara! I suppose the curl element couldn’t be tested 100% properly because of my lash extensions, but trust me – a mascara that won’t hold curl weighs down even my extensions.

This mascara added loads of length – not only does it lengthen, it also enhances the curl ( I could see that there was a lot more lift to my lashes without the help of any curlers).

This mascara isn’t waterproof (which is could, I can’t wear a waterproof mascara with extensions anyway) but it lasted pretty well on me, no smudging or running.

All in all, a real mascara success! I will try it again once the remainder of the lash extensions fall out too.

Price £5.99 here.

Whoa thanks for the review, I haven’t had much luck with 17 mascaras but I will definitely look into this one.

I saw this when I was last in boots but was put off cos I’ve never had luck with any kind of 17 product before!

May have to rethink that and give this a try

Same here I do struggle with No. 17. I hope you like it if you try it!
