I love anything strange and gimmicky – its just a lot of fun to discover new things so when I saw this EOS lipbalm the first time round I wasn’t really too interested.

Then I was browsing eBay and saw these super cute little dough balls and had to buy a few to try.

The gimmick is of course, that its shaped like a ball and the lipbalm is a dome shape. Does this make it easier to apply to the lips? Errrrrmmm. Maybe? Its ok. But I don’t care, it looks cute and I feel like a kid with a push pop every time I use it.

Incase you need a visual:

EOS lip balm comes in four flavours – Sweet Mint, Summer Fruit, Honeysuckle Honeydew and Lemon Drop SPF15 (I didn’t realise before I chose summer fruit and honeysuckle that lemon drop had a spf, otherwise I would’ve picked it!).

Here they are!

Sometimes I buy lipbalms in nice packaging then it all goes wrong because the ingredients are a steaming pile of poo – full of mineral oil and petroleum.

Not so with EOS….EOS is 95% organic, and is paraben and petroleum free.

It contains shea butter, jojoba oil and vitamin E.

The ingredients list is impressive – nothing nasty going on here.

Here are the lip balms sans wrappers – I love this rubberised packaging they have going on!

Summer Fruit is indeed fruity without being overwhelming, and Honeysuckle reminds me of melons….because its supposed to*

*Speaking of honeydew melon, does anyone else get an itchy throat when they eat it?

The balms! I love them! How cute!

They remind me of so many things! Like:

1.Bouncy balls

2. Eggs in egg cups

3. Whiteheads (just sayin’)

4. That magic trick from when I was a kid and you’d pretend there was a ball in a cup and instead you’d lift off the fake ball with the lid. Remember?!

5. Bums! Although I don’t know anyone with such a pasty bum.

But, this can be as cute as you like, smell as good as you like, be as organic as you like – the question is, is it any good?

I would say yes!

On the downside, this lip balm is not as rich and creamy as I usually like with lip balms.

The EOS balm thats left feels a little thinner than my favourite balms, BUT I think it definitely does a good job protecting and healing my lips…so I can forfeit the lack of creaminess that I usually like.

Applying it like a crazy person:

Verdict:

It’s cheap, its certainly cheerful, its natural, its a good product! I say – WIN!

I bought these from eBay for £4.75 each – please do a search on eBay plenty come up.

I have been using these for about 6 months and I’ve been DYING for you to try them – so glad you like them! I had no idea that they had 2 other flavors. Wish Walgreens would carry them – they only carry 2 flavors, the ones you bought! I definitely adore this lip balm, it does the trick way more than burts bees (which started to make my lips burn).

really better than Burt’s bees? I saw this Eos balm in a Michelle Phan’s video and I was curious about it. Now that I see it is completley natural I’d like to try it.

In my opinion, it’s better than burts bees – it’s a lot more moisturizing to me :)

I first saw this about a year ago and I have been trying to put off buying it as I have a few lip balms to use up first! I think I will cave in soon :p
