With so many under eye concealers and illuminating pens, it’s nice to see something a bit different. Chanel’s Lift Lumiere Eye Contour Concealer is a super posh under eye medium to high coverage product.

As well as providing coverage it treats the eye area, diminishing the appearance of fine lines, circles, puffiness.

A special LIFTOPTIC™ complex visibly diminishes the look of wrinkles and fine lines, while a Tetrapeptide targets the fluid that builds up under the eyes and makes them look tired.

The appearance of puffiness and dark circles is measurably reduced, so your eyes look beautifully refreshed.

This comes in 3 shades, 10 Beige Lumiere, 20 Rose Lumiere and 30 Abricot Lumiere (light to darkest). #alttext#

I have the darkest shade 30 Abricot which in fact is not at all dark – it’s just a warm/peachy tone which is great for my skintone. I don’t think this shade would extend to ladies who are very dark, it would look a bit too bright.

The texture of this is like a rich foundation. It doesn’t feel as thick as traditional concealer which is a good thing – it offers coverage without being too heavy.

It also feels hydrating around the eye area:

Overall I really like this product! It offers good coverage without being heavy and also feels really refreshing around the eye are (like an eye treatment would).

It’s a bit expensive at £31 but you get 15ml – actually thinking about this it works out cheaper than the likes of say Touche Eclat or other illuminating pens as you get so little in them and this seems to illuminate AND conceal AND treat.

I worked this in with a eyeshadow blending brush and it worked well:

Verdict:

I really like this. Only downside is the price. If you have super dark circles to conceal you my need more of a traditional concealer as this is more of a medium cover but I reckon it would work well for most people.
