Becca Fallen Angel & Enigma Palettes Review

I’ve been on a Becca kick lately and just totally fell in love with the imagery from the latest collection, Fallen Angel.

Heavenly looking, light-dappled skin casts an eternal spell, while dramatically dark eyes dance with wonder and mystery. Cheeks are tinged with desire in a soft tawny peach as honeyed lips tempt and allure.

Gorge! I bought two of the palettes, Enigma (eye) and Fallen Angel (lip). I for one prefer the palettes like this, in the squarer shape because it’s easier to carry round. I also like the powder products being separate from the cream ones.

You get three full sized products per palette. The eyeshadow palette is called Enigma and has two mattes and a (light) shimmer shadow. I am into mattes but I know a lot of people aren’t – seriously these mattes are lovely, so flattering on the eye…#alttext#

You get:

•Eye Colour Powder Demi Matt – Armure (soft fawn)
•Eye Colour Powder Demi Matt – Silesia (dark smoke)
•Eye Colour Powder Shimmer – Surah (mauve/mushroom)

I guess it looks like a bit of an odd palette – where’s the highlighter?! But it just totally works, I don’t know why, it’s smoky but subtle at the same time maybe because it’s a taupe-slate shade with a touch of warmth. It’s not as obvious as a straight out black or silver.

The palette which I HAD to have was this Fallen Angel one as I love cream products. This contains a lip gloss, a cheek and lip cream and a highlighter – pretty useful. Also the colours are warm peachy shades. You get:

•Highlighter – Narcissus (opalescent peach)
•Lip & Cheek Crème – Nectar (tawny peach)
•Nude Lip Gloss– Sunrise (sheer peach)

I LOVE PEACH!

This will be perfect for the spring/summer and I just think it’s useful having these three products together. The gloss is quite sheer, so probably the weakest product in there, but it’s hand to have something that gives nude glossy lips I guess since it will go with any eye.

Verdict:

These palettes have been around for a while, if you want to get your hands on them be quick! I personally love the Fallen Angel one the most, but the Enigma palette is also great if you want to do smokey eyes but with a twist.

I adore these palettes. Not the cheapest around, but so so wearable and pretty. I don’t have many grey eyeshadows either, so I justified it by saying I NEEDED more greys!

I haven’t had the heart to dip into the cream pallete yet though.

I’m really loving the makeup on the models…soft yet with dramatic eyes! The colours look a bit unremarkable in the Enigma palette, but looking at the swatches I can see how you’d get a lovely smokey eye from them :)

Hi! I love the eyeshadows, they are the most perfect greyish-browns ever, but 48 euros is so expensive! Do you know of any good dupes for the eyeshadow colors?

Hi Emmi

I’d have to have a look around! It’s a plain colour but quite unique in that it’s a matte with depth…I’m sure mac would have a dupe x

I may have to add these to my kit. They look remarkable and will definitely try these out.
