I am always on the look out for new shampoo and conditioners to care for my dry hair and sensitive scalp. Aromatherapy Associates caught my eye because it looks like something a posh hotel in Soho would have….or something.

Even that brown in the logo is posh.

So I picked up the Balance Shampoo and Conditioner from the Brand Alley Sale (it was about £4 each) with free shipping.

They Say:

* Gentle, mild shampoo with pure with ylang ylang, geranium and patchouli essential oils.
* Keeps the scalp in good condition.
* Essential oils have traditionally been used in hair care for hundreds of years.
* Suitable for all hair types, particularly on a normal to oily scalp.

So I love the packaging – its gorge, and apparently the aromatherapy side of it should look after my scalp.

However I look at the Shampoo and ingredient number two is Sodium Laureth Sulfate – its mildly irritating on me. Not too happy about that.

This stuff at normal retail prices is £12.25 for 200ml so not a very cheap shampoo and conditioner…The conditioner ingredients are fine, they always are:

Verdict:

This is going to be short and sweet. This Shampoo and Conditioner doesn’t make my scalp to uncomfortable but its nothing extraordinary either. Its just ok. It smells quite nice, like a Spa. But its not anything to go and spend £12.25 on.

Well….at least their candles look nice? Their site is here.
