**If there is one beauty product I go through quickly it’s shampoo as I wash my hair pretty much every day. For the next 8 days there will reviews from products that I have used for at least 3 weeks each. My hair type is dry, frizzy and coloured**

I haven’t used Head & Shoulders shampoo for a while but was impressed with the idea of a sensitive scalp care shampoo and conditioner.

They say:

The hypoallergenic formula for sensitive scalps while it makes you dandruff free. Gently does it with our Sensitive Care shampoo. They’re dermatologically tested and feature a hypoallergenic dye-free formula that’s particularly kind to sensitive scalps. They’ll soothe your head and leave your hair beautifully soft, shiny and flake-free.

Unfortunately this shampoo does contains SLS which my scalp doesn’t agree with! I tried using this but I did noticed the tingly itch shortly afterwards so I passed it on to my mother to try…Oh – I did think the conditioner was quite good, very soothing and cool on the scalp and made my hair shiny although I still couldn’t get through the toughest knots.

My mum had a far better experience overall with no scalp irritation and she also found that her scalp was a lot less oily for a few days.

The conditioner also suited her normal hair type and left everything very shiny.

It’s very good value as you get huge 500ml bottles.

I think this sensitive scalp shampoo can work if you get some flakes or a little bit of an itchy scalp but if you have a scalp that get irritated easily (like me) or that disagrees with SLS then you might have to give this a miss.

Currently on offer – 2 for £6.49 at Superdrug here!
