As you may know I am a base product addict, up to my eye balls in new formulas and I’ve come to realise that anything too fancy doesn’t suit me.

My foundation staples are: RMK Creamy Foundation and Dior Nude. Always ready to welcome another one to the barn.

Face Stockholm’s Liquid Foundation was one of the products from my make over that I quite liked.

They say:

Liquid silk! The natural, dewy finish provides sheer to medium coverage for normal, dry, and mature skin. Specially formulated with Vitamin E and Kaolin to absorb impurities and toxins, while moisturizing. Perfectly applied with our triangle sponge.

So it seems to be one of those all purpose bases that can be used on most skin types and leaves the skin glowing.

My shade (NC35) is Swedish Summer. It seems to match well even though it looks dark in the container and seems to have an orangeness to it – it does blend well.

The foundation has no scent, and it has a really nice smooth texture to it, which dries quite quickly on the skin. I found a primer gave it more glide for a bit more blend ability.

Before – my skin was quite red:

This is the only bit I’m not thrilled about – after water the top ingredient is Paraffinum Liquidum which is mineral oil, plus petrolatum in ingredient no. 5 and propylene glycol is another one I have been actively trying to avoid. Hmmm. These ingredients can make my skin quite sensitive and dry so I am somewhat concerned about using this on my face every day.

Verdict:

I am really pleased with the result of this foundation; it’s pretty effortless as far as foundations go, and you get a dewy, lovely finish and a good level of coverage.

My concerns are that 1. The container is going to be a real pain to get all of the product out of, 2. The ingredients list and 3. It’s a quick drying foundation so one does need to be quick when blending.

The foundation costs £27.50 and you can view it here.

£27.50 seems pretty steep for something which contains large proportion of mineral oil. Have you tried the Bourjois Eco Detox foundation? It’s really pigmented, nice matt finish, no dimethicone and under £10. I have Chanel, Dior, Lancome all lanquishing because of this foundation =D

Hi Kawaii

Oh yes I have! It’s a bit fast drying but I do like Eco Detox :D I agree, the problem with this base is the mineral oil….a this price you are comparing yourself to Dior, Chanel etc.
