The last sunscreen I have purchased recently is Biore’s UV Aqua Rich Watery Mousse in SPF 50.
Biore products (from Asia and especially Japan) and fabulous and quite frankly better than the ranges they have over in the UK. For example, the nose strips are stronger and more effective (Asia release) than the UK versions. No idea why…
I got this because I wanted a SPF for the face with SPF 50 that had a light texture.
Biore’s Aqua rich Watery Mousse SPF does indeed have a light texture – its weird, its like a cream but it does have a light, airy feeling to it. This I like, because its got the creamy texture I personally like but is actually quite light, so no oilies for me.
The SPF is water based and you can tell. None of that oily residue for me!
They say this contains:
Hyaluronic acid and citrus mixture (orange, grapefruit, lemon) for skin nourishment
The tube is a good size for carrying around, and it dries to a semi matte finish – means it makes a good make up base.
In terms of scent, its a light fruity aroma but its not overpowering at all.The sunscreen:
On the skin:
No residue, no ashy cast – its perfect really and will ensure I am well covered for the summer.
Texture: 5/5
Finish: 5/5
Protection: 5/5
Price: 4/5
Overall:
The price of this item is about $12.50 from Adambeauty.com – with the current crappy exchange rate, makes it £8.60 – so I can’t give it 5/5 for the price. Blame the economy!
However, when it comes to everything else, its a fantastic, cost effective sunscreen with high protection, a great texture for both dry and oily skins.
The light texture is made for Asian climates which are ridiculously humid and hot – it works just as well for the British weather, I think, because it just means it works without interrupting my make up.

I am definitely going to get this Sunscreen, thanks Rowena! Looks like it ticks all my boxes and sounds great in terms of not making my face greeeeeasy with SPF

For the texture and feel, Biore UV Aqua Rich has won me over. I prefer the gel version a little better (Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Jelly SPF 30/PA+++). But I just love both of them. I only wish Biore would make alcohol-free sunscreens.

Me too! I LOVE biore. However – agreed, Japanese brands I feel use alcohol too much in Skincare. Skinfood is better for alcohol free products x

does the biore uv aqua rich cream make the skin lighter as well? please let me know so i will buy it. also my face is oil and break out easily is it ok?

Hi
No I don’t think it makes skin lighter you might want to try a Biore one with whitening properties or Skinfood Quince which is also whitening too.
Also you want to use something that’s very light if you are oily. THis mousse one is good, or Anessa, or try Biore but in the liquid form (I think its called UV cut) x

Hi there,
Would like to find out if this sunscreen smells of alcohol when you use it? I understand that alcohol ranks quite high on the list for this sunscreen.
Thanks!
