A few months ago I got my hands on this Naturtint Non Permanent Hair Dye to try out. Regular readers know I have to be careful with what hair dye I use because of my highly sensitive scalp.

I have used Naturtint permanent dyes before with success but I didn’t want anything with too much commitment (I knew I was going to the salon a month later).

The Naturtint Reflex hair dye is non permanent – it reminded me of a wash in, wash out dye but one that lasts longer and gives a better colour result.

It doesn’t contain PPD(P-phenylenediamine), Ammonia, Resorcinol or Peroxide – all ingredients that can irritate a sensitive scalp.

In a nutshell, it comes with a squeezy bottle (no mixing – my hairdresser told me that any hair dye that has 2 components that need mixing is not truly semi – permanent. I have found this to be true with the last 2 so called semi’s I used – it just wouldn’t fade!). The colour goes in easily, and I left it in for 30 mins without any stinging or discomfort at all on my scalp.

After this I washed it out. It comes with a spray too which adds shine and protects the colour after the treatment.

Pros:

- Is truly semi permanent and will totally wash out
- Is VERY gentle on the scalp
- No chemicals like Ammonia and PPD which can cause irritation
- Easy to use (no mixing)

Cons:

- Washed out of my hair in about 2 and a half weeks
- One bottle is quite small – for my hair which is past my shoulders I needed at least 2 packets

There are 10 shades to choose from (all quite natural hues).

You can buy the hair dye here for £10.99.

*Note: Even though this dye is the most gentle I have tried, make sure you still do a patch test!

I HOPE THIS IS THE END OF MY PROBLEMS. I CANNOT USE ANY PEROXIDE AND PPD. MY SKIN IS HYPER
SENSITIVE. I WILL BE ORDERING THE BLACK COLOR THIS EVENING AS MY SON HAS A PAY PAL ACCOUNT.
I HOPE THIS IS THE END TO MY SEARCH. ONCE IT WORKS I WILL ORDER SIX MORE.
THANKS
