Alba Botanica was a completely new brand to me, but it’s definitely my kind of range; affordable, 8-% certified organic ingredients, soap free and ph balanced. I also love the retro bottle and it smells amazing.
This Coconut Milk Facial wash is actually more of a cleansing cream; I certainly didn’t feel any foaming activity but I prefer this kind of cleanser; it’s just a little more gentle.
This cleanser is supposed to work well for sensitive skin without drying it out (very important for me).
First off I adore the texture of his and the scent; I love anything that smells like a Pina Colada and this feels great to massage into the skin.
However….upon washing it off, I felt some tightness on my cheeks, which was a little uncomfortable. My cheeks can be dry but it was a turn off for me; there are lots of good ingredients in this cleanser but still, my skin reacted to it and I’m not sure why.
I used this a few more times but to be honest I gave up after that – I have SO many cleansers at the moment to try I wans’t going to stick to something that caused tightness. One with oilier skin may cope better this this.
Despite this experience, I still want to try some of their other products, like their Pineapple Enzyme range! Sounds yummy. They also have a Hibiscus Facial toner which sounds nice!

this product looks like a whole holiday abroad in your crappy bathroom in lancaster. smell and packaging alone would make me want to buy this like … tomorrow. LOVE the idea of this. I would not call $12 super affordable though…
