Nars, oh Nars. It will always have a special place in my heart because when Nars gets it right, its just make up heaven.

I had to buy the Modern Love Palette as I have most of the combination palettes – Philip Lim (haven’t touched it though!), Night Series Palette, another LE palette and more…anyway they are a great way of getting a selection of colours in one place.

Modern love palette contains:

Alhambra (top left) Metallic Rose Mist
Jezebel (top middle) Shimmering Sable
India Song (top right) Shimmering Walnut
Tokyo (bottom left) Soft Silver-White
Habanera (bottom middle) Sparkling Charcoal-Plum
Pandora (bottom right) Matte Black

I already have Pandora, Habanera and Alhambra. Nevertheless its great to have it in one palette.

It’s certainly a well thought out palette. The white, the rose and matte black are very useful to have – but if I am honest – this set is missing ‘something’.

I think its missing a stand out colour. They are all stunning colours and I would totally recommend to someone new to Nars or someone who loves understated colours but I want a WHAM colour. I need a WHAM colour in there. I couldn’t use this palette 7 days a week as I would die from boredom.

Cos even when I am rocking the mattes and the nudes, I still want something, that tiny boost that makes the eyes pop.

Next time I want a greens and blues palette from Nars – that would be heavenly!
