Chantecaille’s Bio Concealer with SPF 10 has a rather cool moisturising core…from the moment I saw it I knew I had to have it. I actually won it on eBay for about £20 as opposed to the full £52 retail price (eek!).
The concealer comes in a silver tube, pretty normal looking but inside is something special!
This concealer has a core:
Its core delivers an anti-wrinkle hexapeptide, relaxing existing lines and preventing new ones from forming. It also contains a moisturizing treatment with botanical squalane, soybean and vitamin E.
So the magical ingredients are held in the core! It looks pretty funky:
I got mine in Shea, but there are quite a lot of shades to choose from. Right away, when I swatched this product, it felt very hydrating and soft, no doubt because of the core.I am guessing that the product (with light reflecting properties) is focused for the eye area. The coverage looks a little lighter than usual…around the eyes it feels very comfortable to wear, its almost a treatment and concealer. On other parts of the face (ie. to cover redness) its not enough:
Swatch:
As you can see, the coverage is sort of a little sheer. Around the eyes its a nice treatment and concealer. It didn’t work so well when I had mega circles though but its a nice one to touch up because it glides over the skin so nicely.
On the downside, its pretty expensive for a concealer that you’d use just around the eyes. Cle De Peau’s concealer, which is also expensive at around £50, I’d say is more versatile as it can be used around the eyes on on the face.
You can buy it here for £52. I am going to stick with it because it feels like a good treatment as well as a concealer.
