Yet another IMATS purchase! I bought 4 lip tars (what was left over!) and 2 pigments to have a play with:

I got four shades of Lip Tar (the only other ones left were black, green, purple – you get the idea).

Lip Tars have this amazing texture – highly pigmented, but quite runny. A challenge for sure but still – unique and well worth a play.

The Lip Swatches:

Petty Beige –

Melange –

Safety Orange –

Clear –

I like the Lip Tars, but of course they are hard to wear. Nice to mix it up with other glosses and things of course.

The pigments I bought are Pollencount and Clover:

These were £5 each at the IMATS show – quite fun colours. Just good pigments in nice shades. Reminds me of my MAC piggies:

This is my first play with OCC – what other products should I look at? Do you like the look of OCC or is it too much for you?

wow, those lip tars are really pigmented. They look really great on you. I’m not sure how wearable safety orange is though. Now I’m really tempted to try the lip tar that’s supposed to be able to lighten your lipstick. However, the runny-ness might be annoying…
Thanks for the swatches!

the beauty of those tars you can mix them to create other shades…like mix the safety orange with petty beige to create a lighter orange.
I believe you can also mix in the pigments into the tars to create shimmery colours. not sure those pigments will work..but any pure pigment would work.

I like the look of all of them except clear, which is just too shiny/wet looking for me (I am weird.) I do like the look of the pigments too, wouldn’t mind trying a couple of those out, but the lip tars seem to get all of the love.
