When it comes to my day to day make up, lip liner isn’t something that I apply.  Having said that, I do think lip liner is necessary if you want that really groomed look or if you’re wearing a bold colour!

I purchased two lip liners because I saw a really nice nude lip done with a deep brown liner then some nude gloss (BLENDED IN TOGETHER – FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NO BROWN DARK LINES AROUND THE LIPS!).

I won’t spend too much on this kind of thing because in the past I have bought Chanel and Dior lip liners and wasn’t that thrilled considering the price.  I dislike overly sheer lip liners, and hard textured ones.

So I bought two Etude House Soft Touch Auto Lip Liners:

There are 5 shades to choose from, I got 01 Soft Rose and 03 Milky Brown.  There is 02 Pink Brown, 04 Real Rose and 05 Natural Berry.  All of the shades are very wearable.

Here are the two pencils. Seriously, lip liners are nothing to get excited a about. But…

These lipliners are FABULOUS.  Seriously.  I have never in my life been excited by a lip liner but these are everything you’d want in a lipliner!

Super duper duper duper creamy and soft; pigmented; affordable and doesn’t require a sharpener!

They are so creamy that they’re easy to apply all over the lip as a base.  They are fairly long lasting too and look very flattering on.

I have been using the brown (lightly) with nudes and the rose with pinks or all over with balm on top.  It just works so well without effort, unlike other liners I have tried.

These are dirt cheap in Korea, but if buying from eBay like me they are about $6-$8 dollars including shipping, depending on the seller. They are so worth it – the only thing is that all the shades are neutral and I reckon can be made to fit most lipstick shades so there’s no real need to buy more (or is that a good thing?!?!). They should bring out some bold colours like a real red and hot pink!

Do you have a favourite lip liner?

ooh, these look lovely. I don’t get excited about lipliners at all, but they are pretty handy.
