Shiseido Hada Senka caught my eye even though I have no idea if it’s supposed to be a hydrating lotion toner or a moisturiser. I have been using it as a moisturiser and it comes in two formulas, normal and rich for drier complexions.
The pink lidded one is rich.
This lotion contains hyaluronic acid and royal jelly. It’s a runny clear liquid without colour or fragrance. It’s not as runny as water, it’s more like a heated syrup. It will stand alone on your skin if you drop it on like little rain drops…
I’ve been using this as a body moisturiser and sometimes on my face because I hate anything that sits on the surface for too long and I have to say I really, really like it. It’s a really simple product in one sense; nothing fancy about it but it really does prevent dry patches and helps your skin without being too thick or heavy.
I used this on my arms, where I get a lot of dry patches and it kept them hydrated all day – this is quite rare and I used it on my face and my dry patches disappeared.
Having said that if I stop applying it, they do appear again. This product is also very light so it sinks in, you get about 30 seconds of light stickiness, then it’s gone. For me it’s more bearable than a thick cocoa butter which takes an age to sink in.
Verdict:
Excellent product, a bestseller in Japan and well worth buying if you have dry skin and want to treat dryness without overloading the skin.
I bought this from: ebeautyshop.co.uk for about £11

I likey the look of this…love anything thats liquidy and easy to absorb into skin, saves so much time and doesn’t leave my face feeling like an oil slick lol Plus hyaluronic acid and royal jelly….what’s not to like! I shall definitely be eyeing this up on my next virtual shopping trip!

I can’t see much of the bottle, but “no fragrants” and “no colorants” is written near the bottom.
I’m guessing this is Shiseido’s answer to Hada Labo?
