Lavshuca make some really lovely lip products (they have a lip library on their site because they have so many formulas!).
Their newest release is this Dramatic Memory Rouge Liquid Lip Colour! This stuff offers higher coverage than a normal gloss and is supposed to last longer too.
The whole range is a rather natural, rosy collection:
I picked out two shades, PK-1 and RD-3. To be clear, PK means PINK and RD means RED – this type of lettering system is very common with Japanese cosmetics. The number indicates that it is from the same colour family but is a different tone, usually (not always) getting darker the higher the number gets.
When they arrived I was surprised by how similar they looked:
Red? Pink? They both look more like coral peaches to me!
Anyway, the packaging is lovely – really study, well made heavy tubes with a soft doe-foot applicator.
Lavshuca packaging is always lovely really:
Even next to each other these shades are far too similar for my liking. Hmph. That aside I am totally in love with this lip gloss.
It definitely has a thick texture – not gloopy but certainly thick, hydrating and very glossy. It fills in the lines on the lips and is quite opaque so covers any lip pigmentation.
Both of these have a faint shimmer that is quite natural and pretty:
PK-1 is my favourite of the two but they are quite similar!
I love both of these glosses but I can’t see a huge variation between shades so am not tempted to buy more right now. Nevertheless, these glosses are wonderful if you want something with good pigmentation, high shine, a lush finish and slightly sticky, so that it really stays in place all day.
I bought these from adambeauty.com for $13 each.

I have RD-1, which is a bit more mauvey, but unfortunately doesn’t suit me very well. Those light, coral colours always look like left-over meatsauce on me.
And I really wish the Japanese PK shades were actual (cool-toned) pinks.

Hi Julia!
I know what you mean. I am a MASSIVE fan of cool toned pinks – I think it brings the warmth in my skin down a little bit but a lot of Japanese pinks are warm toned.
