When I read that Kleenex had released some skincare products I rolled my eyes…big roll…like really?! Nevertheless I was intrigued…
When the products arrived I was rather pleased; Kleenex didn’t launch a range of facial washes or soaps, no, they stuck to what they know – tissue!
There are 4 products in the range all nicely packaged:
Facial Cleansing Wipes and Eye Make Up Removal Wipes £2.99 each for 24 wipes….
These wipes contain natural fibers and are supposed to be for effective cleansing.
I am not a fan of facial wipes for actually cleansing my face – unless you wear next to no make up I don’t see how it can work but I do use them all the time for wiping my hands, products etc.
The eye make up removal wipes are so-so. They did not remove my waterproof mascara and liner – they did take off eyeshadow. They are handy but no substitute for a proper eye make up remover and pad.
The facial wipes are much better – nice and moist without being too wet and actually did a good job on my eyes:
Facial Cloths are quilted sheets – they are large and soft. They quite thick too – you can use these for cleansers, toner, removing face masks and nail varnish. Because of their thickness you can use them wet or dry and they won’t tear.
These cloths are very handy indeed – I really like them for removing cream cleanser before washing again with some facial wash. They’re quite good for polish as one square will cover more than one nail.
I don’t like them to use with toner. They seem to suck up the liquid and I find the shape impractical for that.
Those are £1.99 for 30.
Finally there are Shine Absorbing Sheets. These are powder free and can be used for blotting. My skin is drier than it is oily so I gave these to my mum.
Mother likes these – I always keep her loaded on Oil Blotting sheets and she says these are great because they leave no residue, are light and blot quite well. The sheets are also thick and not too flimsy. She says they’re a bit steep at £2.99 for a pack of 50 – I said, that’s because you usually just get them free from me. Hmph.
The Kleenex facial cleansing range is at selected stores from September 2011(looks like it’s at Superdrug) and in all leading retailers from January 2012.

WOW I am going to get some of the blotting paper wipes because my skin seems to be a lot more oily than it normally is.
