I am of course, forever searching for new interesting things in the beauty world, so when I found a brow product for paling out the eyebrows I had to buy it.
Most people spend their time darkening their brows and adding colour. I naturally have enough hair in the brow area and they’re dark so I don’t really need to use anything on them, if I don’t want to.
They also have quite an obvious natural shape so I just do them myself (although occasionally I get a scary treatment).
Beauty SA’s do often ask me where I get my brows done, to which I reply, “I DO THEM MYSELF! FOR FREE! FREE! FREE! IN YOUR FACE!” at which point I get escorted out of the building.
But I digress. Here’s a chick that needs her brows lightening:
(I’m not a Sienna Miller fan because I think she
a. Is a bit of a ho and
b. Looks like my sister in law)
So anyway, this product is from Kiss Me’s Heavy Rotation Range – which I love.
The Heavy Rotation range consists of Gel Eyeliner, primers, Liquid Eyeliner, mascaras, eyeliners, lip glosses - all really sultry, smokey products which you don’t normally get with Japanese products.
This eyebrow concealer in Nude Beige makes the brows lighter and no doubt shows off those smokey eyes.
I lighten my hair a lot so I do need to lighten my brows:
Nude Beige is a pale fawn type shade. The brush is very bristly and really gets to all the hairs with a little wiggle.
What is nice about this eyebrow gel is that it isn’t crunchy at all – it grooms the brows nicely but without any horrible stickiness or shine.

During:
After:
Hmmm.
Well the difference is there but it is very slight. There isn’t enough pigment in the gel to make enough difference in the shade of my brows although it worked nicely as a general grooming gel.
But as a concealer – nope. You could get a similar effect by buying (if you are dark like me) a brow gel for blondes or even running a small amount of foundation through the brows.

Best. Title. Of. Post. Ever.
I think it does make a difference, but it’s subtle. It’d be good if you had highlights and wanted to blend your brows in subtly.
Urgh, Sienna Miller.

Hi Grace
Yeah my hair is always a bit lighter so this will come into effect I think! I hate overly dark brows unless its for a look, like the Foo Foo Lemar Look

I really like a lot of your blog posts and trust your opinions. But I don’t think it’s appropriate the way you’re using the word ‘tranny’ in such a derogatory manner. Transgendered people face a lot of hatred and discrimination in society and to minimize that, the male-to-female trans people do often use make-up. Some of them might enjoy your blog too but feel alienated by the way you use the word ‘tranny’ in this post. I’m sorry if it sounds like I’m preaching but this blog would be even better if it were more inclusive of people of all gender identities.

Hi Aaryn
Firstly, thanks for your comments and I promise to take these on board in the future, as I’d be more than pleased to know that people from all gender identities were reading this blog.
In my defense….
- This blog really is tongue in cheek. Using the word Tranny, I accept now that you have pointed it out – can be seen as derogatory but the thing is I have a few friends who cross dress and always call themselves “trannies” and have quite a jovial outlook on this term.
If I were referring to them in a serious context I would refer to them as cross dressers (not transgendered (and I certainly wouldn’t attack people who are in such a difficult situation) as I do feel is a different thing to cross dressing – not that they are mutually exclusive of course since but there are those who like to wear clothing from a stereotypically ‘female’ genre for enjoyment and not go as far as to say, have an sex change operation.
A lot of the people I know who cross dress fall in to two camps; the ones who want to wear average women’s clothes and the ones who want to camp it up and do the whole full on “transvestite” OTT thing. When the friends I have do go for the OTT party thing, the full on look, the strong defined make up, they are doing it for fun, they are doing it for attention. If anything the reference in my post refers more to the OTT, fun, drag queen look – and specifically the ‘look’ as opposed to the people behind it and certainly not to attack people who are transgender, cross dressers, gay etc. I’m definitely not here to offend particular groups, although I do hope people are able to poke fun at themselves sometimes, to not take life seriously and get on with this absurd business of living. One world and all that.
I do totally appreciate your comments though and will take heed of it.

Hi, could I ask your advice?
Ok, so I was considering purchasing this product for my eyebrows, but I’m a confused reader by the end of your post.
The first part of it points out the need for eyebrow concealer, then the second part reviews the Kiss Me Heavy Rotation eyebrow product- I get that. But the review starts off with the point that it DOES make the eyebrow lighter, then goes over the good things about the product, but at the end you state it doesn’t really work…?
I’m actually considering getting this product, not to use as an eyebrow concealer, but as an eyebrow “drawer” that will create natural looking eyebrows. (Most other products seem to darken it too much).
Would you recommend it?
Thanks!
