The Face Shop is a Korean Brand – and if I’m honest I don’t know how to define it! It has a lot of eco friendly ideas (I notice a pattern here with Innisfree and Skinfood too!) – very food based, very natural sounding, even if it is not!

Anyway I love looking for blackhead solutions even though my favourite one is now discontinued.  The Face Shop’s Blackhead Clean Up Kit seemed like a gentle alternative.

You get a clean up gel toner (40ml) and a quick tightening cream (15ml) to apply after.

The Gel Toner contains mulberry extract and is supposed to soften the epidermis, dissolve blackheads and get your skin really clean. You take a few pumps and apply it to the the nose.  Leave for 10 minutes then rinse off and apply the cream after…

The cream controls shine and sebum secretion and prevents blackheads from forming.

You will find that a lot of blackhead products come in 2 or 3-steps.

The gel is a clear, slightly liquid texture. It won’t run everywhere but it is not thick enough to slap on and leave without some tissue about.

Please – I am not going to present you with my blackheads.  But this stuff did an OK job. After washing it off, some blackheads were easier to squeeze out – this didn’t bring it to the surface.

Then my nose was quite soft with no peeling at all (which harsher products do). Having said that other than a good cleanse I didn’t think this product was all that.

Some ladies I know have used this as a CLEANSER all over – I don’t think that’s economical at all but reported that it helps with the appearance of pores. I think it did…ok. Once again just not bowled over, sorry.  But overall I really like The Face Shop :)

I bought this from eBay.
