Asian Beauty Products No. 2: What are Sleeping Packs?

Sleeping packs are overnight products, generally a gel type texture that you apply and wash off in the morning. It sinks into the skin as normal cream would so you can sleep and not worry about it getting everywhere!

The earliest type of ‘sleeping pack’ I tried was RMK recovery gel. You apply it at night time and wash it off in the morning for a nourishing boost.

Sleeping packs come with various benefits, some are for whitening, some for hydration, some are for smoother skin and acne care. The idea is that you should wake up a lot better the morning after than the night before!

Brands to try: Tony Moly, Laneige, Baviphat, Etude House, Skinfood all do sleeping packs.

Candy Says: I am a bit new to these sleeping packs – I have tried one by Laniege and Baviphat and I love both (reviews coming up). So far I LOVE them. I do feel like they brighten up the skin and leave things smoother, HOWEVER I need to try more to decide which are the best.

Have you tried sleeping packs? What do you think?

I’ve been thinking about buying one of the Etude House sleeping packs, either the whitening or the moisturizing one. I guess I’ll wait for your reviews on both Laneige and Baviphat to decide :)

I’ve been using a sleeping pack without even realising it, I didn’t realise the RMK Recovery Gel was a sleeping pack!…I really should pay more attention to detail haha
Looking forward to more reviews on sleeping packs, I’d love to try out more brands :)

Hi Jen

Well, RMK isn’t offically a sleeping pack but it is supposed to be used at night and washed off so it is, when you think about it, a sleeping pack!

I own a few of the Baviphat fruit masks, but have yet to actually try them. But they smell AWESOME.

Thanks for this post. I haven’t tried them yet cause I was still very “Hmmm…how does this work now?” o__o;;

I have never tried any sleeping packs before but they look interesting. If it sinks into the skin, how do you wash it off in the morning? o_O

I’m currently using The Face Shop’s Raspberry Roots once a week, I LOVE IT!
I can’t wait to try my Laneige Sleeping Pack once I finish this one, but I think that may take quite a while…
