Roll up, roll up – time is of the essence so here is my first speed review post with a mixture of bits and pieces I’ve tried out over the last few months but just don’t have the time (or the words?) to do a full review on!

First up – Visee’s Limited Edition Mineral Cheeks Baby Finish in Orange OR-7

Visee is one of those Japanese brands that always looks good and is very tempting! But the products are just meh in my experience, there’s nothing from the brand I really love.

Now…

This blusher is limited (I think there was a pinker one) and it sure does look pretty and is very handy with 4 tones in the blush from a pale peach highlight to a slightly darker apricot.  I am so mad for orange tones at the moment!

I actually have one of the Visee mineral blushes from when they originally came out and I really like it – it gives me a simple pink wash with shimmer.

Unfortunately, this one is way too pale. On me you really have to really swipe and swipe to get a good amount of pigment and even then it looks more like a highlighter.  One for very pale girls I think…I like it but it’s a shame it doesn’t give enough colour.

It’s a MISS from me this time.

2) Canmake Eye Nuance Eyeshadow in Brilliant Garden.

These cute trios come in lots of shades, I actually acquired some a while ago but then noticed this vivid green palette which is new.

The Eye Nuance trios are usually medium to low pigmented, and very shimmery without chunky glitter. None of them are matte I believe.

Canmake do discontinue things quite a lot – for example with this trio, you won’t see shades 1-10 any more online because they’ve got rid of them for new shades.

This green trio is nice enough and probably quite decent for people who want to try green but don’t want anything full of pigmented:

Swatches – these are medium-sheer, and shimmery.

I don’t like how this looks once on the skin – or my skin anyway. It’ a bit of a sickly green. I suppose you could do a wash of green but I kind of thing GO HARD OR GO HOME when it comes to green. :)

Verdict: Nice enough cheap trio if you can get it for the retail price, bit too shimmery and sheer for me.

Have you tried either of these products?

It’s a pity the eyeshadows aren’t better value – it’s a lot easier I think to just pick up a little bit of a highly pigmented product and use it lightly than have to spend ages trying to pack on the colour.
