Love SANA. Its a Japanese brand with a unique range of products and one of them is this Pore Putty range, consisting of primers, concealers and powders.
The original Pore Putty stuff is nice. Its thick, proper heavy coverage stuff which is nice and not that common with Japanese cosmetics that can run quite sheer.
I have tried various things from the original range and the Pore Putty in Clear. This is the newer version, which is ‘moist’ – therefore hydrating.
This stuff (or at least the old stuff) really fills your pores. I never got breakouts from it either. The other stuff I have that covers pores well is stuff like the Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch Primer (glorious stuff, but is quite ‘silicony’ and can give me spots).
The packet:
I find Japanese cosmetics, even if they are cheap drugstore level products tend to come well packaged and presented!
The product:
Now, this has a light beige tint to it. Not sure why they decided to add some pigment but its too light for my skintone. Doesn’t matter though, the foundation goes on top.
Once again its quite a thick product designed to cover pores. Its smooth and leaves a thin layer on top of the skin:
It does sink in, but you will (unless your skin is quite pale) need some foundation or mineral foundation or powder I think, to even out the skin.
This did quite a good job and it was more hydrating than the original, although, not ridiculously so. My skin is dry at the moment and this didn’t really stick out in my mind as the first choice for a primer.
Still, its not a bad primer if you want to try out the pore putty range. You may get more versatility from the Clear Primer though since that is colourless.
I quite like their concealer actually (also covers pores) its mega opaque and thick.

I’ve never seen this version! I’m excited to try this out as I have heard good things about their older version

Do you know if there are any japanese makeup products that suit pale pink cool toned skin? I have quite open pores and love what some of these japanese products do..but they all seem very yellow toned ( which is understandable for the the skin types)
Id be interested in that clear pore putty…is it greasy?i have oily skin.
