Have you got that Friday feeling?! I have so much to do and not much time to do it in. Nothing can alleviate the stress apart from a pair of yellow shoes…(I am on the hunt).

I have been taking anti-aging a little more seriously lately; eating better, remembering to put cream on my face. But sometimes, we neglect parts of our bodies. Like our hands…don’t forget, hips – er, I mean hands don’t lie!

ZO’s Oraser Microderm Hand Renewal is a moisturiser and treatment in one:

They say:

Lines, wrinkles, dark spots and loss of elasticity of the hands. For a dramatic improvement in the appearance of your hands, this one is everyone’s favorite – hands down. Gently scrub away rough, dull skin and keep your hands feeling ultra-rich. With retinol, shea butter and sugar crystals this one not only works – it works wonders. All it takes is 30 seconds once or twice a week. Any more often than that is pure indulgence.

* Sugar Crystals: immediately remove dead surface cells to allow for better penetration and enhanced cellular turnover.
* Retinol: a pure derivative of Vitamin A and the most vital component of any anti-aging skincare program. It is clinically proven to be the most effective anti-aging ingredient to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and even skin tone.
* Salicylic Acid: deeply penetrates pores, sloughs dead skin cells, and removes excess dirt
* Shea Butter, Mango Butter, and Safflower Oil: moisturizing agents

To use, take a small amount and let it melt in your hands. Massage in for 30 mins (its an exfoliator – very fine textured and quit scrubby) then leave it for a minute so that the butters can sink in. Rinse it off and pat dry. You use it twice a week.

This is an interesting treatment because it incorporates the scrubbing element with the moisturizing. It’s quite nice to get rid of the dead skin on the hands (Aveda Botanical Kinetics Exfoliant is also great for this) and end up with a smooth, soft base to put cream on. I only used a small amount – it is like a very thick, solid butter and it will melt with a little bit of heat.

It’s not a delicate little scrub either – its packed full of exfoliants and really scrubs away dead cells. My hands (despite me neglecting them and not putting cream on that much) are in pretty good condition but on say, the Boyf, who has very rough hands at the moment, the results really showed. On older and rough hands the results are excellent. On me, it works very well and I am hoping, will maintain my hands more than anything.

I’m guessing Madonna as well. I don’t know anyone else who has such ugly arms.
