Villainess is a skincare range from the US of A that landed on my desk a week or so ago. At first glance, the design of the range is excellent – definitely a range you can give as a gift. I don’t know why but I can imagine Moll Flanders using the range or at least, stealing it from the posh ladies.

I got the Whipped Body Cream in Posh (£7.00) and the Body Scrub in Brat (£7.00).

So, is it any good or style over content? The scrub is yellowy brown (its brown sugar) with pink bits (ribbon candy).

The texture of the scrub is very dry and its densely packed – there is definitely some oils mixed in with it but it is not kind that has oil sitting on to of it – you would need some water to use this product.

Posh smells like candy – lots and lots of sweeties, like the good old Woolies pick and mix but more on the hard candy side as opposed to say, chewits. I found this scrub lovely to use and its a really exfoliating type scrub.

The Whipped lotion in Posh is equally nice (and I must confess – I am 99% too lazy to use a body lotion).

In my lotion I need it to be a. moisturizing and b. sink is very quickly.

This does a lovely job of both. For one thing its ‘whipped’ – this means that the texture is light or has a lightness to it. This cream is not a mousse like, airy texture however – there is a heaviness to it and I like that as I find some whipped creams and yet the ‘blamangey’ (really pushing the English language here) quality tells me its whipped.

On top of this there is the scent – it smells to me overwhelmingly of mango, followed by the contents of an Oriental fruit market. A bit of pawpaw, a bit of lychee, a bit of durian (I love durian!). Its a very unique scent and I like it – its not the usual kind of fruity.

Just one thing left. Too many of these brands look great but are pumped full of chemicals but I have to say both ingredients lists are impressive.

The Posh scrub:

Ingredients: Sucrose (Sugar), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Polysorbate 60, Prunus (Cherry) Kernel Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Fragrance, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Beetroot Juice, Carnuba Wax

Good, eh?

The Whipped Moisturizer:

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol (and) Polysorbate 60, Cyclomethicone (and) Dimethiconol, Prunus (Cherry) Kernel Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol, Fragrance, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein (and) Hydrolyzed Wheat Starch.

Overall, I thing both products are great and affordable and there are tons and tons of scents to choose from. I have my beady eye on the Perfume oils next and some face mask!

You can buy the range here if you are in the US and here if you are in the UK.

Oooh lush, lush, lush packaging. Is their palm oil ethically sourced though?
I will investigate!

Should have added this to my previous comment – the palm oil in their soaps. Killer Trees sounds amazing!

Argh! I was avoiding getting Posh because I thought the Dragon’s Blood would come through, but from your description it looks like I just have to get it. It sounds divine!
